I was deployed in Afghanistan when he came to sing for us soldiers; I will always love and respect him for that. He, unfortunately, had himself a little scare when the sirens went off but he still came back on stage after we had the all clear. Not to mention, that smile of his always made my heart skip a beat. BTW one of my favorites of Toby's is, As Good as I Once Was, please try to react to it. Rest in power, Toby, you will forever be missed; may God continue to bless his entire family. Take care everyone and stay safe.

I loved him not for only his songs (most of which I believe he wrote) but for his patriotism, his support of our troops and also for his Faith in God, which grew stronger as he approached the end of his life!! And yes, I do remember how he helped the Moore, Oklahoma community when they were twice devastated by horrific tornadoes. He would have absolutely LOVED your tribute to him. God bless his soul. The Red Solo Cup has been "THE" mainstay of every party I've been to.?for DECADES!! Keg parties in the woods, graduation parties, every open BBQ, block parties, and Philly favorites.."Beef & Beers"! When toby released this song I was so happy that someone had finally made a song as a tribute to our favorite party friend... ♥️ I was saddened to heard the news of his passing. But his "hometown Charm" and his "everyday man" music will keep his spirit alive for decades to come. Plus, as a veteran... 💔... Toby is up there with the GREATS, like Gary Sinise and Kid Rock, in the love and support of our troops amd America 🇺🇸 ⛪ ♥️

My wife and I just talked about this in the AM today. We both mentioned how we felt a connection to him because of his music and his love of our country. His music has been a staple in our car on our long trips in New Mexico. Been a sad today today. Thanks for your reaction! "Now that he is on his way !!!"

You guys have the following to "review" songs you already know. We (or at least I) would love to hear you share your favorites. You've been doing ours for so long we'd be up for the occasional tour of your faves. Who knows, maybe someone can react to you.

Read an article about him today, and he said in an interview that he thought Red Solo Cup had the stupidest lyrics he'd ever read, but he did it as a lark and just to have fun. He was one of my late sister's favorite artists, and Red Solo Cup was my ringtone for her. From a Texan, RIP you Oklahoma legend.

The things I've heard about this pass few days. Everyone needs a Toby Keith in there lives. He was the last concert I went to at Pine Knob, and I will never forget it. We had a blast.

Jay you should check out Toby with fellow Oklahoma great Wayman Tisdale an all-American basketball player who after retiring became a hit smooth jazz bass star. They cover a Barry White hit " Never never gonna give you up". Wayman was also a star in the NBA and died young of cancer. As a bass lover you should listen to some of his work.

Growing up Country music was on the radio in my folks cars. My 2 favorite artists both came from the OKC metro, Garth Brooks and Toby Keith. The first concert I ever went to was Country USA in Wisconsin and it had to be around 98-99. The headline trio that night was Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, and Sawyer Brown. I was so excited to watch Toby perform. Later in life I spent around 5 years living in the OKC metro and still love the area to this day.
