You are a lifesaver my man! My rollers were in place but i cleaned them with isopropyl alcohol and now she works like a dream! You have earned a like and subscribe. Keep doing what you're doing

Thank you for this detailed, well spoken, and easy to follow tutorial. I was able to follow the video straight away. Both of my rollers were lowered and moved forward together; the disc when attempting to eject had parts rattling loudly. It appears I only needed to use the plastic side screw to wind up the white "slider unit" all the way back, but I wouldn't have been able to know that if I didn't open the case & the disc drive up and see the situation.

This tutorial was a massive help I was all ready to raid my toddler's piggy bank for a new ps4 thinking she had jammed several discs in there, but it was the roller joining spar. Though this experience has shown I need some new screwdrivers. Massive MASSIVE thank you got the ps4 apart, fixed and back together again thanks to this vid

Never hurts to have a small set of screwdrivers. Youll be amazed at how many things you can open with a good set. They go for like 20-30$ too! Highly recommend.

Thanks mate. Thought I had this problem. But turns out my youngest son has stuffed a penny in there!🙄 my oldest 2 have been so disappointed as they just got 2 new games for Xmas and haven’t been able to play as yet. Awesome. Saved me a bunch of money. Most difficult part was trying to get my hands on a Torx security bit for those screws! Video was my guide and so far, all good. Looks rollers were still in place but not sticky enough to catch on discs.

Tip in case you don't have a security torx screwdriver. You a small flathead that fits in the grooves on a side of the screw. Be careful as it will turn the screw, but it can also slip. Helps when you don't have money for a security torx driver.

Thanks man! I think watching you for a few minutes will give me the confidence to take my ps4 pro apart and fix the disc drive myself that a repair shop broke while charging me like $170 just to replace my PSU that wasn't getting enough power and the whole repair took a full month! Now I can see if I can fix it and get back to my physical games!

Man I tried everything... and finally.. other videos dont explain in depth..even if it's like ( hey well you took It apart you should know how to put it in) ....when u mentioned the part at 10:40 .... just something to simple like that fixed it all...because I was doing everything right and putting the roller thing back on and cleaning everything and was so confused why the Disc wouldn't go in anymore and boom.... little detail you spotted...because come on...I dont fix ps4's for a living lol i jsut basically rushed. But great video man..saved me 100 dollars easy

Thank you so much for making this video! i had a stuck disc and wouldn't eject, ordered a T8 security screwdriver which came today and managed to get the disc out the barrier that comes up released itself and now it works perfectly also gave me the opportunity to clean the fan and it was caked in dust since the clean it nows runs quietly and smoothly! it's a 1st gen launch ps4 and never been opened till now and i'm super happy! Once again Thank you brother!

If your on a 2nd floor find the nearest window and toss it, it should open the ps4 right up if you dont have a 2nd floor then find a biggest brick you can and drop it on your ps4 or just you can try to shoot the screws off with a 50. Cal

Same thing was with me. All you need is a flat head screwdriver of you dont have a torn screwdriver, a normal +head screwdriver ( maybe a small one ) and there will be a part where you cant use the flat head which you used to open everything, I think then u need a more smaller one because I had these two things for mine but I kept on searching and I found a torx screwdriver attachable head in the tool box ( CR - V T8 was written on it tho)

For me these 3 worked - CR-V T8 ( Torx screwdriver attachable head) CR-V 1.5 ( flathead screwdriver ) CR-V PHOO (+head screwdriver) ; these were the things written on them
