PS4 On And Off DIY Fix

Ойындар

TronicsFix shows you how you may be able to fix your PS4 that turns on then right back off with this DIY video.
Order the kit here: www.tronicsparts.com/store/p66...
We take a PS4 that turns on then right back off and repair it. This repair includes removing the hard drive cover on the console and the other top cover to access the APU and heat sink clamp. We then put spacers under the APU to create more pressure on it which helps it get a better connection to the motherboard.
This fix generally works for quite a while but there's no way to know for sure how long it will last. Some consoles have lasted more than 1 and a half years.

Worked like a charm!!! Thank you so much bro...you saved me from buying a new PS4. Mine was acting up so much, not starting up, shutting down in middle of game...I was about to buy a new one, but with the announcement of Google Stadia, I didn't want to invest so much. For the people asking about the washer size, I took out the screw and took it to the hardware shop. Bought 6 washers that fit the size. The shop didn't even charge me for those (that's India for you, I guess) I know it worked because my ps4 would beep and shut down Everytime after a cold boot and would come up only after the second cold boot. But ever since the washer fix, it boots up EVERYTIME. I am so happy, i can write a book about it, almost wrote a chapter here 😋

GUYS IF THE WASHERS ARENT WORKING FOR YOU LIKE ME HERES A FIX! i ended up taking apart my ps4 to clean it and when I put it together it wasn't working n I searched it up n had this washers method show up or even buying a new battery. i was struggling until I did this : MAKE SURE all the screws are in the correct places, at the bottom of the ps4 there are ~4 screws with an arrow imprinted in the ps4 MAKE SURE to put the screws in the correct places. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK try this : when you remove the battery from your ps4 there should be 2 metal rods sticking up inside the ps4 where the battery was, they are very hard to miss. MAKE SURE that those 2 bars are SEPERATED, there are 2 slots in the battery for the 2 forks, sometimes they end up being too close together and end up going into the same input instead, put your finger in between them to make sure they separate and gently put in the battery. I HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU LIKE IT DID FOR ME!!

I had put 2 washers in between the clamp and heatsink and works like a charm, how is that possible? Ok so I had some washers, used them, and now the power will stay on but the blue light never turns white. It just pulses blue. I've tried many different things to fix this and nothing works. It won't go into safe mode, nothing. Do I need to have it reballed? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. This started because my ps4 got smashed (don't ask) and the hdmi port needed to be replaced, as well as the power supply. I got a used power supply and had he hdmi port replaced and carefully reassembled everything (I had to get a new shell for the console as well). I go to plug it in, power it on and after 1-2 seconds it clicked off. So like I said I used the washers and it worked. But now the "blod". Again thanks in advance for any help

I left the PS4 running with a game playing. A person in our household sees it and proceeds to unplug the power cord from the outlet (without exiting anything or turning off the PS4). Now I tried turning on the PS4 but it doesn't respond, either through the controller or the power button. The power button literally doesn't do anything; and if the PS4 is plugged in, the controller light blinks twice or thrice then stops as if it has turned on the PS4 already. (but when the PS4 is unplugged, it only keeps blinking) When I press the eject button, it only beeped once. I've tried various solutions around the internet such as holding the power button, replugging both power cord and HDMI, trying another outlet and power cord, and tilting it different ways. I was able to manually eject the disc inside, which causes the eject button to beep 3 times now. I've seen people say that it could be a power supply issue, so I went ahead and bought one online since the warranty is void already. After replacing the power supply, nothing changed. Still the same symptoms. Anyone here who can help me fix the PS4 or at least give me an indication as to what the problem could be?

Guys, if you cleaned your PS4 and have a problem getting the PS4 to turn on or it turns on then off, you may have put the power supply back in wrong. Make sure the two long metal pieces are straight and not bent to where it reaches the power brick. Not placing it back in correctly also may make it hard to put the other plastic back on and difficult to put the screws back in the PS4. Went through this myself. Hopes that's the case and you too can save your money.

got a ps4 from ebay to fix and sell, thought it was the psu, so took it out opened it up and the wire's on the transformer were bad and too short to repair, so bought a new psu turned it on and still the same problem, then I watched this last night after it was uploaded and knew I had some nylon washers, so I had to place three on each screw and IT WORKED !! then red light, so opened it up, fan not spinning, checked the fan connector and a wire was out, crimped the wire back into the connector and this ps4 lives again. thankyou for this video.

I had my warranty until yesterday, but as I couldn't claim it as PS4 was bought from another country and Sony has no support in my country, I just had to disassemble. Only used it for 4 months, then after turning off the console and unplugged it, left it for a day, and tried to power on the next day, it never turned on.. beep + blue light for a seconds, then nothing again until unplug and re-plug :/ Disappointed and heartbroken as hell :'(

I tried this and it didn't work... HOWEVER, I used the good old oven trick to reestablish the BGA connections and it worked! You have to put the motherboard in the oven for 7 min at 210°C on an aluminum foil at mid height. (Tip: remove the coin battery, and the detachable connectors before putting it in and set it to cool for 10-15 min).

So glad it's still working. The reason it works is that it puts additional pressure on the APU and the joints between the APU and motherboard. This helps to restore the connections that were lost.

The case for my console is that i first encountered this type of issue then went to youtube to find some remedy to this kind of situation and actually did the 2-washer method and it did work actually and everything was fine after that but after i did not use my console for about a week plus straight. The issue went back again. And at first it turned on normally and i did played for about 10-15 minutes and it went off. I turned it back on and the on and off issue went back again. Is this still the same issue?
