How much you will have to charge for this kind of repair ? I am asking because judging by the amount of work you did is may be cheaper to buy another ps4 or a second hand ps4. By the way very very interesting video, the things you are doing and showing on your videos are super fantastic

This is a great channel for tech people and great for console people as well keep up the great work

I agree with all the positive comments and you are the only one who teaches us about raballing without any too fancy equipments. Simply the best in the raw raballing field.💪

My Mate Vince is my favourite channel, I found your channel from him. For me your channel stands out from the other repair channels as you explain what you are doing and why, which is very valuable for people learning how to fix electronics. Keep doing what you are doing as your channel is excellent. By the way I have been in electronics and computing for 30 years+, an yet I am still learning things from your channel.

Agreed. Worth checking out "borderlineOCD" he's self-taught and does amazing repairs, he's very good at explaining the process also. Edit-He's also the opposite in how clean and organized he is when he works, compared to coder lol. I love that they're so different.

I've got a couple of ps4s sat here I'd like to donate them to you for you to try an fix them an make some content for your channel, 2 fat ps4s an a ps4 pro there just sat in my cupboard collecting dust... ones faulty hdmi an the pro just beeps then shuts off it just powered off while I was playing it...

You have my deepest sympathies for your eye ... I’ve had trouble handling insulation wool in the past. Hope you are well again soon.

I have a question, I don't see it in the video description, which probes are you using with your multimeter? they look great and don't seem to be the ones sold with the product you linked. Thanks !

That's awesome, a bit of practice and it should be understandable. I'm not exactly very smart in general lol. The probes I have are here amzn.to/3xuFAon They are really good probes and very comfortable to use too

Vince got me into watchmaking, recovering from a triple bypass surgery and sitting there with nothing to do I watched his first watch repair video and thought "hmm I can do that" and I did, fixing a normal and a chrono pair of Sekonda's then I bought my first Soviet watches and now my small flat looks like a watch repair workshop with my two vintage Italian scooters in front room, my steam engines, a games machine collection covering virtually every console up to X360/Wii... I'm a bit obsessive and tend to go a bit nuts on fixing things lol Still its only me and cats live here so no one to tell me off for leaving the workmate up in the kitchen hehehehehe (was fixing the seats in my 3 wheel van yesterday and needed to drill out some brackets)

My friend's Xbox 360 Slim (maybe Corona Motherboard) turns off by itself everytime we power it on (it randoms, something it turns off on the dashboard menu or when the xbox logo appears or just when we push the power button). But the box will work normally after powering it on several times (it takes 30 minutes or so before it works normally). I can play any game for 2 hours and more. Dp you have any idea what's going on?

Hi there, I have a no power ps4 slim, i have tested the HDMI ic for short but nothing is shorted there, also i have tested the southbridge again nothing shorted there too. then i noticed there is a lot of shorted capacitors on the other side of the APU could that be the cause for no power??

You know if any ifixit tip is lost or broken you can get them replaced for free under their lifetime warranty ? I've replaced the T9, P2, and PH1 bits on all my stores work stations half a dozen times for free !

Yeah the magnet fell out of my driver and they sent me a new one no questions asked. They even gave me the newer version driver as well.

For the BHA station it's an ACHI IR Pro SC mate. Pretty expensive but worth every penny

I have a fully dead short on the 5V+ supply line, kills the PSU.... and I've check the southbridge and there is no short there....

I need a original PS4 with low firmware Apu reflowed. I sent you a email back on 11-24-21 telling you about it and I'm wondering what your shipping address is? I want to figure out the shipping from the U.S. Looks like Jason's electronic repair you recommended has stopped doing repairs. From his last video all he is doing is playing Minecraft now days. Northridge fix Maybe. :)

I have rather interesting case of PS4 with no power. There is no power using power button or inserting disc. However the eject button beeps. PSU and power button is not at fault so what else could be ?

Sorry but you can't check the apu for shorts, it will read as short because it's low impedance

What type of probes are those btw? i need a proper set of thin needle probes

Have you heard that you can diagnose a Southbridge fault, via the USB port, without disassembling the console?

Yeah it depends, sometimes if your southbridge is bad you won't have power going to the usb ports, and also sometimes the fan won't spin. If that's the case it usually turns on, and then turns off after 6-10 seconds

Thanks, I don't generally care about my bench being a bit messy though. My videos are intended to just document my repairs not to pretend I have a super clean work area etc
