What I do is take off the top cover, check if there is any dust. I still blow into my fan just in case. I don’t like taking off screws because I’m kinda scared ngl. At the bottom left of your PS4 there’s this place where you can slip a piece off. I also clean there, but be careful cleaning there. And with a little of hitting the back right of my PS4, it turns on. This is my 3rd time getting the blue light of death.

Got a PS4 from a coworker that was blue lighting. He thought it was a bad HDMI port. He told me I could have it if I could get it working again. Well tried a new HDMI cable, put it into safe mode and then fixed the resolution. Works perfectly now! Thank you! I now have a free working PS4!

Make sure your RBG range setting on sound & screen is set to automatic. Having it on full with out the proper screen will give you the blue light of death. Trust

Which worked for you?

While none of your suggestions worked for me, you introduced me to Safe Mode, and after trying out other options on there, I discovered I could re-download the new software update from there. Something bugged out during the installation before, which was what had caused my blue light of death. Reinstalled the update and it was back to working again!! THANK YOU!!!

As putting my ps4 in safe mode worked, but you failed to state that it can take over 20 attempts to put it in safe mode

I fixed it super easy, idk if it was just for me but when it was in the black screen I hold the power button for a couple seconds and it went back

I just took mine completely apart carefully cleaned everything put it all back together gave it good love smack near the power cable input and works great being 4 years old... now my year old limited days of play one is doing this.....

@@kailluminatiii2999 I bought a tool set for fixing phones it has everything. Small Phillips and I believe a t9..that's the special one with hole.in the center. It seems harder than it is. Literally finished fixing my second one yesterday. Had to reformat the hard drive Good luck

It's so ironic how I just got the PS5 for Christmas and when I tried to go back onto my PS4 to play with some friends I started experiencing the blue light of death issue yesterday with an added bootloop included. Earlier today when I tried to boot it up once again it just randomly wiped my entire hard drive and I didn't even press anything for that to happen and had to download all of my files from the cloud again onto my console. After the hard drive reset it still started doing it and I also checked the HDMI cord and power cord to make sure those were not bent but there appeared to be nothing wrong with them. I'm guessing that the motherboard got fried at this point but maybe the PS4 death clock is an actual thing after all.🤔

When I turn on my PS4 it doesn’t sound like how it normally sounds when you turn it on; there’s a couple of click noises from the fan. The PS4 logo shows on the screen but then goes black for a while. About a few minutes later I hear the main menu music (still black screen) and then error code pops up that says “the display is corrupted. The PS4 will restart” error code CE-41813-7

Simply because if there's a pin or a wire that's moved/frayed but still gets connection its signal won't be as strong. The PS4/5 will consider the connection to be weak and this causing it to turn on and off or just simply sit on a black screen.

So my ps4 has a flashing blue light and the psn logo stays for about 1 minute then it works but then it turns off after 1 minute of working, also want to note that rest mode fully works and also I can't log into another guest account within the 1 minutes of the ps4 working just days an error, anyone know what the specific issue is?

Was but this fixed it Ps4's are notorious for overheating due to dust so try to blow everything out if still unresolved this may be your issue

@@maxitgcyou have a few options for a fault that could be the issue.. I'd say yeah change either your power wire and audio video hookup whether it be HDMI or the other and see if that solves an issue if not as I said before dust is one of the main contributors so try blowing it out before you go replacing the hard drive worst case scenario if you do deem that hard drive to be the fault. Then you replace update ect ect

I tried installing the good HDD from other good condition PS4 and cables from the good too, and still no signal and blinking blue light.

My PlayStation is blinking and it shows the logo when I restart it. I can go into safe mode and restart it, but my TV gets no signal and the logo shows for a second and it goes back to no signal. What should I do?

Hey, I just spoke with a local shop that I trust. They were adamant that the logo flash is due to a hard drive failure and the HD must be replaced. Just took mine in.

There is suppose to be gold pins across each slot for the hdmi correct

Where I live there are power glitches, which is what I suspect happened. The controller had flashing blue lights when I hit the power button. To fix it I held down the power button on the console until the screen came on and I hit the buttons to get where I wanted to.

I love the way you talk. Makes me feel like I can get it done. I fixed my ps4 thanks lol

I'm having the original ps4 model and see that if i shut down normally then reboot everything comes up fine but after a few minutes everything dealing with a Bluetooth connection that is turned on turns off and won't reconnect until i either power back down or cut power the wrong way when it comes back up everything is in working order

Thanks for this, I didn't even click about Safe Mode and sure enough it was a resolution issue.

I just had the blue light of death but I fixed it by taking off the cover of the pS4 and blowing all of the dust off, then I went into safe mode and did the steps in the safe mode part of the video. Hope it helps

Do you know if I’m able to access my PS4 hard drive that has the BLOD on my computer or other devices? I currently bought another PS4 and I want to get all my capture gallery videos on old PS4 that has the BLOD?

As long as those files were not corrupted. You should be able to retrieve them. Sometimes BLOD corrupts save files ect.

Mine keeps saying it wasn't turned off properly. I do the double beep and it keeps saying to update 8.03 which I have installed at least 75 times and it keeps saying the same thing. I try to play fortnite and it keeps freezing lagging and the game keeps crashing. I try to move around the main menu and the system keeps freezing. Some days it turns on just fine others it works then crashes when I back out.

Update: Uninstalled fortnite the system was working fine still a bit laggy. Reinstalled it got into the connecting for a match and it kicked me out saying the file was corrupted. Uninstalled reinstalled same thing. Reinstalled again game froze the entire system NOW I can't get past the log in screen now. It loads up freezes goes black and starts all over again without me touching anything. 😂 I have given up and plugged in the xbox. Its either another ps4 or fighting over the internet for a ps5 I refuse to reset the whole system I have my red dead 2 on there my sims 4 my goddamn Far Cry, Last of Us 2, Watch Dogs Legion yikes this is a nightmare!

@@2alien4earth2human4space PS4 PRO I just spoke with a local repair shop that I trust. Can't speak directly to your issues, but for my symptoms they were adamant that this was indicative of of Hard Drive failure and the HD needed to be replaced. I took mine in.

hey bro i have a ps4 slim and it’s been messing up on the blue light of death but i checked my HDMI 1 cable and one little pin is messed up do you think it could be that? this ps4 slim is new i bought it one month ago exactly so i don’t see how it could be anything else. it has the latest update and everything, it constantly sends me to the “checking system storage” or the “plug in a usb drive and download the latest software” i don’t see how those could be the problem. and when i initialize it again it freezes and lags and then turns off again and does the same thing. it also doesn’t let me download games from the ps store gives me a cannot download and a error code. when i put it into rest mode or turn it off and try to turn it back on it sends me to the same screens this is when initialize it again. ik this is long but i hope you can give me some advise. also don’t see how one little broke pin could be the issue either

I'm not home at the moment so I can't test anything, but just wanted to ask if the issue I'm having is the same sort of thing... The PlayStation hadn't been used in about 6 months before this. I plugged it in, all worked fine and was able to play a game on it, then I did all the updates it needed. Since then, whenever I plug everything in and turn on the PlayStation it comes up with a "checking storage space" message and the loading bar, finishes that, the PS logo comes on the screen and goes again, then I'm just stuck with a black screen. After a while either the PlayStation or the TV just turns off. I've tried just leaving it and I've tried holding the power button till it beeps and unplugging and plugging it back in. Nothing has worked so far and it does the exact same thing every time its starred now. While it's doing it there is a slowly pulsing on and off blue light. Help pleaseeee 😢

I tried all options but the thing is the power button doesn't work out the blue I used the controller to actually turn on then it sends me to option screen but none of the options work for me

All I did was switch the hdmi cord plug ins and that worked out for me!

what if it wont go into safe mode? i have one here that has no display and keeps flashing blue, ive tried the cables and hdd from another one and it still will not give a second beep. if it does a second beep it is the turning off beep and it stays off afterwards

So what if you have a solid blue power button when the system is off but it boots up normally and plays games minus freezes, solid blue screen etc. But I never have a solid white light when on its bluish white. I've switched cables, checked harddrive, rebooted in safe mood, changed resolution etc. Frustrating because something's wrong but I just can't figure it out.

I was deleting games data for games I finished and wanted to clear space for new games. After I did, my system started running slow until it from. I saw that and unplugged it. Now its not turning on, the light is blinking and the console is beeping. I have it unplugged and I figured I'd try it again in the morning. After fixing: I wanna thank you for the info. I was terrified I might of have bricked my system.
