Alien trigger: I had already hit like, so just imagining doing it again. Leaving comment too, of course.
I remembered! I always use my internal clock to wake up on time when I have to get out of bed earlier than usual. I almost always wake up 5-10 minutes before my alarm goes off. :D

That should come in very useful for you, now you just need to tweak it to trigger behaviours inside the dream :)

Whenever I wake up before an alarm I lay still and keep my eyes closed and then when it feels like 10 seconds have passed I do a reality check and usually I’m already dreaming/in a false awakening again by then! It’s a cool and easy way for me to wild before my alarm goes off

Perspective memory is my biggest hurdle for lucid dreaming. I will definitely be doing this training.
This exercise has shown me that when I'm working, I tend to lose track of time really badly.

It's very relatable and easy to do!
I remembered (and yes, I did wait 15 minutes before starting to type this out)! Granted, I did have my phone's time constantly in my face, but I did remember to comment "I remembered." I also have the alarm set on my phone so hopefully I remember that too! This was a great refresher video with great examples as well! Though my current memory and mental state are making things much more overwhelming and harder to remember, the advice in this video is always something that needs to be drilled in my head. I find that I often miss triggered checks too easily by simply brushing them off! Shorter comment for today as I need to watch over my health more than writing down a comment. Definitely a great video that I need to return back to and rewatch again!
I remembered! This is probably my weakest area of practice so I'll definitely be using these techniques.
I remembered. I use my body alarm to wake up naturally to do WBTB method instead of setting alarm to wake up recently. It did work !!!
Yoo, nice alien! Also I remembered.

I know I had my lucid dream button. I... I just don't remember where I last put it. I promise it was beside my dream journal. Oh, I haven't touched this thing in ages!

I have an strategy,I usually sleep with my slingshot and my phone on my bed,but what if this time I put my phone or slightly very near my body and hands while sleeping and even if I move a bit in the dream I’ll probably feel the object,so maybe then my brain will think that I’m dreaming and I will become aware,if I explained myself correctly Edit:I remember!!

Good job Daniel. This is gonna be a popular video.
I remembered! Took 17 minutes though.
I like the idea of #2. I was occasionally doing a variant of that, but not approaching it from a body clock perspective. I like the simplicity of that (the concept itself) and may try it out.
I will try this, I have been wondering if there was a technique for prospective memory, thanks!
Thanks for this. Prospective memory is my weakest area of LD training that I'm trying to improve. Lately I've been setting reminders in my phone to send me a message saying "did you remember to reality test?" on leaving certain locations that I regularly visit. I try my best to set the intention to reality test before going. But my success rate is still probably 50% at best. I haven't even tried to train internal clock memory. Will try now.

Prospective memory is really useful outside lucid dreaming as well, so it's definitely a skill worth improving! I can imagine that doing the alarm practice specifically could also give you a better sense of time, which is also useful since it's so easy to lose track of it. I'll be back in 15 minutes... Edit: I remembered!
Thanks for the vid, an explanation of how memory is one of the most important qualities that a lucid dreamer should have, and yes, I remembered to write this using the 15 minute internal clock prospective reminder. It's also important to know that all the more reliable lucid dreaming techniques out there revolve around improving memory, be it to remember to get your awareness back to your anchor point if going for maintained awareness, or to remember to do a reality test the next time you can see before heading to sleep if going for regained awareness. Similar to the metaphor explained in a past video which revolves around socks being a technique to keep your feet warm, but it doesn't really matter if you're wearing forest socks or alien socks to achieve this purpose.
Aaaand I remembered! My perspective memory has always been kinda bad so I'm glad I can train it.

I have me remembert^^ Nice Video,very helpfull !
I started doing reality checks every time i wake up, BC it often happened to me that i wake up in a dream and not even realise it
I did remember. So if I say, “when I go to the grocery store, I’ll pick up milk & eggs” that’s the triggered perspective memory and If I set an alarm for 6am cause I got to get up at that time for an important meeting, but I end up waking up at 5:55am, then I have used my internal clock perspective memory… (happens all the time, even if I don’t set an alarm… I guess I can harness this somehow… tell myself that I will awaken at the best time in the morning to have a WILD) I’m just babbling on here to help your algorithm 😬

I remembered! But I'm curious on how this technique works during sleep as your perception of time shifts
@LucidDreamPortal
5 ай бұрын
It's not your conscious perception of time, it's a mental function that operates independently of that. This is why often when you set an alarm in the morning, you'll wake briefly beforehand.

@@LucidDreamPortal :) The interesting thing is : When I have to go wake up on a specific time I am very good at it. sometimes 1 minute before it rings. But with other stuff I just cannot remember. How often I forget to close the roof window, Or i go anywhere for something and come back without it. it is awful. But maybe it is a combination of lack of memory building and autopilot here.

I remembered the alien
My dream keeps almost ending whenever i open a door. Anything to help with this?
I sometimes wake up before my alarmclock if i need to go somewere i need to be on time, like an event i realy like to go to. i set my alarm for the best days of my life (these events, like going to the Natural History Museum with dinosaurs or going on a trip to the beach for a day) on a usualy very early hour (6:00 is very early for me, cant do 5:30 too too early then) and i wake up ten to fifteen minutes before the clock. i believe this is my intuition automaticaly going on prospective memory? or is that another thing entirely? as for knowing the alarm before it hits, i sometimes had been lucky but most of the time its pure Luck based if i got it right or not. sometimes i think its getting 15:00 but then i watch the phone and its either ten or twenty minutes early or late from what i thought. otherwise its only two minutes off. so i guess i need to practise that part until its almost always right. as for reality checks when i see or feel dreamsigns, i dont do that as often, although whilst watching the video i was drinking a beer and in many of my dreams i drink beer and so i test my reality, turns out its real life (obviously lol). As for emotions when i feel them in real life, the ones that come often in my dreams, thats a different story. problems with that is that i often forget to check reality when i'm in the moment of the emotions. i believe its the one thing that needs to be trained for because in real life i get angry or anxious all of the sudden and instead of reality testing, i go with the motions, wich is the exact same what happens in my dream. i'm so caught up in my emotions (beeing bullied, anxiety from someone throwing up or getting sick myself, or beeing angry and causing some trouble etc etc...) that i forget all about reality testing because if i did do it every time i feel those emotions, nine times out of ten i could get Lucid, unless i'm not convinced of my RT's. i almost never do NOW's however, i think its hard because you need to be in the "moment" and that was always hard for me. anyway, another great video. a lifelesson here. if i was correct and understood this video, i need to be right with the time (few minutes off is even better, if its about alarm clock / like what happens when need to wake up for important events) and also remember to check reality at those certain times. if i'm wrong somehow, i gonna try the video again.
❤
Saw the alien!
I remembered :D (surprise, surprise)
Hi.
I have a question that's not really about lucid dreams but just dreams in general. Is it normal to feel depressed after waking up from a good dream that felt really real?
I remembered it (i was 1 minute late)
Can you use a scheduled light to induce a lucid dream?
This may be a completely stupid question, but am I allowed to watch the time after setting an alarm for that technique? Or is that completely defeting the purpose of the exercise
@LucidDreamPortal

No, that would be relying on an ecternal source rather than your own body.clock. And don't worry, all questions are valid, I'd rather people ask and be certain 😊

Finally saw the alien 😂
Hello! I hope you see this and have an answer for my question. I check the time multiple times an hour and theres clocks all over my house and school. My first instinct when you said "Remember to come back in 15 minutes" was to check the time and i knew that i should come back at five minutes past seven. Since i check the time so often this works really well for other tasks, but not lucid dreaming. I cant imagine myself doing the alarm practice without using the time either. Have you come up with a solution for this? Thanks!
@LucidDreamPortal
5 ай бұрын
You can't rely on clocks for this, because that's outsourcing the skill to something else. It needs to be your internal clock. I know that can be tricky, but it's the only way.
@Jonnzee24
5 ай бұрын
@@LucidDreamPortal Yeah that's what I thought. It will be hard to not check the time but I'll give it a try.
I think the problem with me checking reality is that I don't chek reality. I see a ping pong sized sperm Whale in my cup in a café and think: "Yeah that checks out."
