Prejudice of Blood Type in Japan

Ойын-сауық

Japanese people often judge other people's personality based on their blood type and there is even a word named “Blood Harassment” where people are discriminated against or bullied because of it.
Type A: Organized, serious, modest
Type B: Curious, individualistic, optimistic
Type O: Generous, sketchy, enthusiastic
Type AB: Mysterious, imaginative, genius-like
By the way, I’m Type O, but I’ve never met anyone that guessed my blood type correctly.
Even though it has been scientifically proven many times that there is no connection between blood type and personality, why do Japanese people still care about their blood type so much?
The Japanese people have lived in a collectivist society for over thousands of years, and historically speaking, the transition to an individualistic society is fairly recent.
Therefore, Japanese people often have poor communication skills and are not good at expressing their own opinions or finding out what others are thinking. It is said that some people want to reduce the stress of communication by thinking that they understand the personalities of others based on their blood type.

@@AyDotHam I mean, the astrological calendar is off by almost a full month now so... I feel pretty safe as an astronomer saying that it's quite silly to change your behavior based on which constellation the sun was "in" (when it usually isn't in that constellation for people with that sign). Not to mention many stars in constellations are closer to us then they are to other stars in their constellation so the patterns we see are mere happenstance and have even shifted somewhat since humans first started using them. Which, fun fact, means one day the modern constellations will no longer exist. Edit: they were also different in the past. Not a ton in recorded history but definitely over the history of our species.

Woman? You mean "women", the plural. This, by the way, is an extremely hateful misogynistic thing to say. You must be Male. For your information, there are just as many men who buy into such nonsense as astrology and numerology around the world as women. In some areas of the world, only men are allowed to participate in such "careers". Please do us all a favor and educate yourself before making such statements again.
