    Tardigrades are surprisingly not nearly as hardy as people think. They can survive a lot, but they die to mundane things all the time, like things eating them.

    @@ppsaha1994 That is also true, but it's not like exclusively predation kills tardigrades, and many other microscopic organisms are just as resilient, or more. For example, tardigrades do their drying out trick to survive unfavorable conditions, but other microbes just keep on living normally in those conditions, and the ones that don't have other strategies like forming spores.

    sponges, coral, and plants of prehistoric times have to be one of the most under looked parts of the worlds before use. sure, there not as entertaining as moving organisms but they do make up a major part of their environments and are important for us to understand what the past of our planet looked like.

    See plants coral are other things of that sort are the ones that actually construct the large scale physical environment other organisms live in. Reefs forests grassland etc.

    I'm gonna say "true" for the triva. I know that the length between the beginning and end of the Mesozoic is longer than between the end of the Mesozoic and now. And I think that the three parts were fairly long each. EDIT: Well, shoot. I guess I guess I was wrong.
