Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Watch detailed video: • Power steering fluid f...
In this video i will do a Power steering fluid flush, without pump in less than 10 minuets
Flushing power steering fluid and eliminate power steering pump noise. this video will show you complete power steering flush of the system step by step...
Procedure
..Jack the car up to make the job easy and open the hood, locate the power steering reservoir and open the cap, suck the old fluid out by oil suction pump as I did or use Turkey baster
..Remove the hoses claps of the reservoir hoses and take it out to clean it with carb cleaner (if necessary)
Taking the old fluid out with a turky baster and add new fluid and steer the wheel lock to lock
it will suction new fluid from resivior and discharge old fluid from outlet(small hose) that one goes in to the cola bottl
...Do this method few times, till you see new fluid comes out from the small diameter hose,
...Connect the discharge hose to the reservoir and add fluid if necessary
... Turn the engine on and turn the wheel lock to lock to come out any bubble in the system(if there is any) and add fluid if necessary
...Lower the jack and Take the car for a 10 minutes drive

    @@freepalestina48Noooo, you can definitely use PS fluid for pumps requiring ATF, but not the other way around. The additive and chemical packages on the different fluids are entirely different. You’ll deteriorate the pump seals and lines over time, and possible the pump gears itself. Use EXACTLY what your car’s manual states. And always remember, ATF is NOT backwards compatible for power steering, but PS fluid is.

    On my 2009 Honda CRV (I bought it new in 2009), I had a soft humming noise from the Power Steering pump. The car had 105,000 miles, and I flushed the PS system similar to what’s shown here, and the soft humming noise disappeared. It took about 1 1/2 hours to do. It took 2 of us and I used Honda PS fluid, 8 bottles. You keep flushing till the fluid comes out clean. Thanks …Jim PS: No aftermarket PS fluid, nor automatic transmission fluid either. If you use any of these fluids on a Honda, you might as well not do it. Eventually you will replace the PS pump. My car now has about 130,000 miles and the PS pump is working perfectly, and with no noise.

  • @isnowyazn

    @isnowyazn

    6 ай бұрын

    Yes, people seem to not realize that Honda/Acura specifically designs their PS pumps and seals uniquely. You’ll see the good PS fluid bottles always stating what make car they are for. Sometimes, you’ll find that it will tell you if the fluid is FOR or NOT FOR Honda/Acura power steering. However, it depends on the car. Most universal Asian PS fluids are okay. Some Honda/Acura PS fluid is made for Honda’s up to 2005, and there is supposedly a newer formula for cars 2007+, which is backwards compatible, but not the other way around (older fluid on newer cars).

    Hey, I HAVE to comment on this one. If you choose to do it this way and use a solvent, like brakleen, to clean out the inside of the reservoir, make sure the solvent you sprayed inside is completely dry and empty before refilling. If not, the remaining solvent can "thin out" your power steering fluid and cause a premature failure.

  • @Ibonic

    @Ibonic

    Жыл бұрын

    Not just that but if the brakleen is the OG chlorinated one, don't use it on plastics. Another good solvent for doing the cleaning is denatured alcohol; but as you previously stated, make sure the container is dry.

  • @jamram9924
    @jamram99242 жыл бұрын

    Brake cleaner tends to dry plastic reservoirs and leads to weakening the plastic. I used purple degreaser and boiling hot water and spray the degreaser from the suction outlet and release the garbage at the bottom. Once every 30,000 miles is sufficient to keep your pump and rack and pinion healthy.

    I do it a similar way in my old 2003 Honda Odyssey. I hook up the return line using a brass barb coupling and two clamps to a long clear hose (so I can see it) and it empties into a container on the ground, whilst I get a 2nd person to start the car and turn the wheel for me, I already opened like 4 bottles of Honda PS fluid into one larger bottle for speed, they turn it on and start moving the wheel from lock to lock while I feed the reservoir. You have to be fast, that pump works at some serious pressure, you can go empty on the reservoir real fast, when I yell STOP they turn the car off. Just another way to do it.

    Is the power steering system as sensitive about air bubbles as brake fluid is?

  • @justacinnamonbun8658

    @justacinnamonbun8658

    Жыл бұрын

    @@selwyn13 No, not at all. It's a small system compared to the brake system. In my case, the Odyssey takes only 2 or 3 bottles of that Honda PS fluid. I thought it would take more. While you're doing it this way, if you accidentally let the reservoir go dry because the pump pumps so fast, it'll start to squeal because it's sucking in air but as soon as you put fluid back in it sucks it right up and the air is ejected from the system.

    Does this work with a electronic power steering pump ?

    That's nice and all but what if my power steering and the master cylinder are one assembly? I'm not taking apart the master cylinder just to take off the reservoir

    @AliMech yo. I have 1⁹⁹⁹ Dodge Ram 1500 3.9L. I topped off the gas and headed out. 6minutes later the truck shuts off and I pull over. I tried to crank it back up but it would turn over but not start. So im thinking heat soak issue. I banged on the gastank olarter cycling the ignition 3 times b4 starting it. It started up and I thought I was good to go. Nope. The truck wouldn't respond to me pressing the gas. I repeated this process over and over every 15minor so. It would start up and idle. As long as I was banging in the Gass tank, it would continue to idle. I am no mechanic but I'm learning. I hear the The feul pump engaging when I turn the key. The oil was low but the truck was treated with Lucas Oil and transmission fluid. The closest town is 15min from me. I have to get my truck running. I start a new job next week. Any thoughts would be great 👍. Love your channel btw.

    Truck seemed to take a bit to start. Mine starts in 1/10 that time. Soon as key hits ING maybe it's because I have 0ga cables alternator to battery to starter or the 850cca AGM. Maybe the 1100cca ultracapacitor....

    Oil or power steering fluid?

    Just use an old soap or shampoo bottle pump. Every oil change pump out the reservoir and refill it. Much easier and it will keep the fluid fresh.

    This service is 70 bucks at my shop. I avoid selling it on older cars that have never had the fluid exchanged. It ends up making things worse half the time. If you change the fluid regularly it does prolong the life of the pump and rack tho. Good vid anyways.

    아주 멋진 스티어링액 교환 작업입니다. 하지만 요즘 차는 대부분 EPS 방식을 사용하고 있어서 이제는 낡은 기술이 되었네요.

    Love them TOYOTAS because they’ll last 50 plus years miles are unlimited. I am driving a 2007 FJ with 321,000 miles daily leaks no fluids of any kind.
