In this video i will do a Power steering fluid flush, without pump in less than 10 minuets
Flushing power steering fluid and eliminate power steering pump noise. this video will show you complete power steering flush of the system step by step...
Procedure
..Jack the car up to make the job easy and open the hood, locate the power steering reservoir and open the cap, suck the old fluid out by oil suction pump as I did or use Turkey baster
..Remove the hoses claps of the reservoir hoses and take it out to clean it with carb cleaner (if necessary)
Taking the old fluid out with a turky baster and add new fluid and steer the wheel lock to lock
it will suction new fluid from resivior and discharge old fluid from outlet(small hose) that one goes in to the cola bottl
...Do this method few times, till you see new fluid comes out from the small diameter hose,
...Connect the discharge hose to the reservoir and add fluid if necessary
... Turn the engine on and turn the wheel lock to lock to come out any bubble in the system(if there is any) and add fluid if necessary
...Lower the jack and Take the car for a 10 minutes drive
THEN CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AGAIN
Note: if you notes any sound,it means the system still got bubble use the same method to take it out

Do you think This will save your Power steering?, some of you asked me in my previous video How to filter power steering fluid and install inline filter like i did on radiator line, so in todays video i will show u if it can filter anything, but its better to flush power steering fluid than filtering like this
im just doing as experiment, i have a detailed step by step video of How to flush power steering

Someone years ago mentioned if you can't raise your wheels off the ground . To put two pieces of thick / heavy cardboard on the ground in front of your front tires and drive onto them . So , when you are turning your wheels , the tires won't get torn up , on concrete / asphalt . Here in the USA I had a 2011 Camry and it got totaled in an accident 2020 . It was in very good condition in comparison to yours .

@@willysir8836 when you put fluid in reservoir you turn the steering right and left while the engine off. But, I did while engine on and get in hurry turn it off before fluid empty. Otherwise your technic look easier.
Nice video, I didn't know about this method and I have been working as a mechanic for 17 years. Looks really simple without making a mess. The best method I've come across before learning this, was to turn engine with starter motor, but without starting (disconnecting injectors, CKPS or similar), thus running the pump at a much slower rpm, that is what Kia stated in the Shop Manual for bleeding air out of power steering after disassembly on an older model. Nowadays all cars I work on professionaly has electric power steering, but my own cars have hydraulic.

@@AliMECHI'm curious why isn't the car running while you flush out the old fluid? Is it because it can burn the power steering pump up or a different reason?
@AliMECH
Жыл бұрын
When you doing flush, air bubbles gets in the system and if you turn on the engine the draining from reservoir will be so fast and you can't keep up with filling, making so much mess and it's not good to run the pump with having air bubbles in the system, that's why, engine off when doing flush till you see new new fluid comes out

Great video, I really liked the way you did not run the engine the entire time just to turn the wheels. I hate seeing other people run their engine which also makes the fluid go flying out too fast.

Very useful and helpful video. I actually did my 2002 chevy trailblazer power steering fluid change by sucking the old fluid with a 20ml syringe and adding new fresh fluid, run the car, steer the wheel from lock to lock. Suck and add new. I repeated this process 4 times. I can definitely see the big difference between before and after.
