    This guy is so lucky that the level-headed members of GOT7 were the ones who guested. Jackson couldn't keep calm when a man pushed a fan. Imagine if he would have been present. JB was straight up pissed the entire segment and tried his very best to stay in his place. Jinyoung managed to keep a straight face, but, at some point, he was just too speechless. Yugyeom and Bambam too wouldnt have sit still. Mark is the kind to lose face quick in front of bullshit even small petty things can get him angry. Bro, Youngjae would have gone from sunshine to pissed. JJ Project were the best ones for this episode, because there is no way that the other members would have been able to hold it in.

This has the potential to get so much worse, he could get seriously violent and it's terrifying. I wouldn't even question it I would just throw those divorce papers at him.

    I have never seen jinyoung being speechless, and jaebum’s expression really shows how aggravated he is. Wow. This guy has no idea how much of a trauma he is causing to his kids, especially his wife. That miscarriage surgery incident, I snapped. Divorce is not the answer but if doing that will lead to a better life for both the wife and the daughters, then I guess she really just have to do it. That guy is so frustrating, I hope he learned a lot from the single dad who also came the same day as them.

    This man is not going to change because he is comfortable. He thinks that since he is the "breadwinner" he can do whatever he wants and his family will never leave. That's why he doesn't see his drinking habit as a concern. If his family were to actually get their things and go live somewhere else he would be devastated because he'll realize his comfortable living is crashing down. He might want to start actually thinking about changing then, but if his family comes back before he begins making the changes, he'll just go right back to how he was.

    This show needs to have actual counselors on the show that also coach the hosts. You bring guests on the show that hit their spouses, are non-functional alcoholics and abandon their pregnant spouses, then the hosts make light of it. It is getting hard to watch. Please really get these people professional help after the show. National shaming isn't enough.

    Houston Not you specifically, I just clicked on your comment to reply, but I have heard that professional, expert help is offered and given to the participants. The reason it is light-hearted is to attract attention and viewers, which is helpful because that way more people are aware of the issue and can offer indirect help to the participants. (e.g by not staring, making open comments..). If it were too expert-like and professional, such as psychologists and doctors, it would not be as attractive and less people would be aware of issues like that in the community.

    Divorce is not something to be taken lightly, and in Korea it has a high stigma attached to it. Even so, in this case, I think that it is way overdue. The entire family is being both emotionally and physically abused by this sorry excuse they call a man. The parents staying together only show that domestic violence is acceptable, being emotionally abusive is acceptable, and that a loveless marriage is normal. I wouldn't want my children raised to think that. It's one of the reasons why I worry about couples in unhealthy marriages in Korea. If either one is abusive, they may never have the courage to divorce because they know the judgment that waits for them if they were to do so. Maybe even judgement from themselves. It is not healthy

Having the hosts or guests making light of a situation is NOT OKAY AT ALL. One of the guests said that the drinking wasn’t the problem, but it really is because he becomes violent when he’s drunk. Alcohol is the problem, and it tears families apart. My dad acted the same way and if he doesn’t change soon when the parent finally do get a divorce his kids won’t be sad at all. Because he doesn’t spend time with them. When he’s with them and sober he doesn’t interact with them, and when he comes home drunk he’s violent.

    I think she's right though. While his alcoholism is playing a big part in the overall issue, it is not the root of the issue. If you take alcohol out of the equation would that solve the overall problem and I don't think it would. Yes, they won't have to deal with his drunken self and all that entails, but I don't think he would suddenly turn into a family man. The main problem is that he doesn't think his family is as important compared to other things. He doesn't value his family. He puts everyone and everything else before them. That is the issue that needs to be resolved. The drinking is only part of it and it does need to be solved, but again I don't think solving that issue will solve everything.

    Danijimenez21 If he isn’t drinking all the time, then he wouldn’t be unintentionally harassing his daughters which have obviously made them upset and disattach from their dad. alcohol is undoubtably the biggest problem here. if he stopped drinking out for so late into the night or cut down, then he’d have more time to spend with his family, making memories and growing bonds in whatever way. Alcohol has become such a big part of his life that it replaced his family for him. he can’t have a good time with his friends that he spends so much time with if alcohol isn’t involved, further proving alcohol IS the root cause and problem here. he has an addiction to it. His own daughters, wife and friend here have admitted it. his family was obviously important to him at the beginning but as they grew and the responsibility toppled for him, he probably used alcohol as a form of escapism, to the point it disattached him from his family. she NO she isn’t right and my point still stands. alcohol is the excuse for him to act the way he wants and treat his family horribly because he isn’t “aware”, he’s “drunk” blah blah. his routine is wake up, work, go out with mates, get drunk, come home past midnight. He doesn’t even get to meet his family throughout the weekday because he spends most of the home time out drinking.

  • @DaniGarland17

    @DaniGarland17

    5 жыл бұрын

    That's how you see it, but based on how addiction tend to work I can say that it is not the root of the issue. That's not saying that it's not an issue. He needs to stop drinking, but he will never stop drinking unless they resolve the underlying issue. What that issue is? Only he knows, but based on his actions towards his family it has something to do with family. You might be able to get him to stop drinking without solving that underlying issue, but it probably won't help with his family issue especially since it sounds like it's always been like that. The mom mentions an event that took place before the oldest daughter, who wrote to the show, had even turned a year old. This isn't something that just happened recently. She's in 6th grade. He's never cared about his family and getting his drinking under control is not going to change that.

  • @nuuranal8989

    @nuuranal8989

    Danijimenez21 He has issues with his family BECAUSE of his addiction to alcohol and that being the norm to have a good “social life” in korea, hes an old man with a family to take care but still has the mindset of a teenager. he doesn’t take his family seriously because he wants to get drunk all the time. I think he married and had a family, not because he wanted to, but because its pressured and normalised in korea so he did it. He doesn’t find joy in anything that doesn’t involve alcohol and getting drunk. What the entire family really needs is counselling or therapy together, it’s one thing to stop addiction but it’s another to grow a bond from stretch again after going through so much shitstorm. He needs to find the happiness and comfort he finds with alcohol with his own family and for that, I’d suggest for them to go on a long vacation together where the husband is away from his drink buddies and the children away from a house that brings them bad memories. Or the mother moving away from the father and taking the daughters with her so reality can hit the father and he can feel how Lonley he can be without them there for him. tbh, there are a lot of factors that needs to be considered for him to be completely sober and a true father again but alcohol is the issue and to say its not is very stupid

I am lucky that my mom and dad find sometime so watch our school perfomances most especially our annual field demo. My dad works abroad so we barely see him because of his work, but he makes sure that he'll come home during the day of the year. It is even more touching that he was the one filming me and brother's perforances with our year level.

    Oh my god, I'm also Korean and my family has a very similar problem! My dad always drinks until he can't think straight and he always becomes violent! He throws things, yells a lot, threatens to kill me and my mom a lot, and the police even had to get involved a few times! I told my mom that she should not have to force herself to be with this man, but she has a weak body and can't make much money from her job, so she worries that financially we will have a very hard time. I told her I will get a job and take care of everything, including paying for my own tuition, doing the housework, and doing everything else by myself, but she still rejects the idea of divorce and I think it's mostly because she is afraid of being independent (which I can understand but I think it's better than staying with my father). My mom went through a lot in her life...she had a miscarriage when she had her second child, she had to go through 2 c-sections for me and my older brother), she lost my older brother (he was 13 when he had a heart attack and died during school p.e class, I was 11), she had breast cancer (it was in its last stages, was very dangerous and she could have died), she fell off the stairs and almost broke her back (thankfully it was a strain, still hurts like crazy though), she got the shingles (her skin was peeling and she got many weird bumps and scars), and she has to deal with my alcoholic father...just watching what my mother went through is enough to make me want to scream and cry and rip my father to shreds...so I can't even begin to imagine how my mother feels. Sorry for my long and dark comment...I just wanted to let out all of my bottled up emotions.

    I really want to give the Mom and her daughters a hug and tell them that everything will be alright. They don’t deserve that crap. I wanted to rage and cry when she talked about her miscarriage and how he didn’t even go for the surgery. What kind of husband, what kind of PERSON, does that to someone they supposedly care for? I’m basically numb right now because I’m on my period watching this and my emotions can lock down when I’m feeling too much. Plus, it’s almost 3:30 in the morning so....

    13:09 This part was one of the moments of this episode that broke me. Her voice cracked and my heart did too. She is so hurt, because she just wants him to be near the family, to love her and be interested in her. To me it sounded like she isn't hurt by his abuse as much as she is by his ignorance. And this is so damn sad. I really want to get this family help, because they deserve it so much to have a *real* father and husband. This man is so delusional and takes nothing serious anymore. He just doesn't care.

    it hurts to see parents fight. my parents got divorced because they fought alot. it really scares me that other children go through it too. when parents fight, it really scares children because they expect a happy family. they havent experienced pain from the social life. family always comes first and im sure everyone wants a happy family. yeah sure fights are often but when a dad or a mom is drunk, its scarring. they dont remember and when children sees it, they get scared to even be held by because they witnessed what their parents are capable of when the drunk parent cant. im really glad that the youngest girl has a sister to protect her and be companied by because she has someone to rely on. whoever is out there and has their parents fighting, i hope u know that your not alone and u should always rant to ur parent about what ur upset bout with their behavior. i know its like a thing to not scold ur parent, but if u dont want to get hurt, u have to be strong and make a change. but ofc dont go over the line.even if my parents are divorced now, i still get to see my father. they can never leave you, its just that they dont see each other. your still their daughter/son and that will never change. if ur reading up till now, thanks for reading. be strong in life even if theres problems, face it and lean on someone. dont build it up in urself. love yourself okay? now imma watch other vids. HAVE A GREAT DAY/NIGHT!!

    I hope he reflects upon his actions now and changes them. Alcohol devastates families and I have a personal experience myself where my mom nearly drank herself to death. As a teenager, it affected me deeply. My parents divorced years prior bc of it and I just hope he realizes it’s terrible. There’s more to life than drinking every day. He’s never going to have this time with his family again and watching them grow up. It’s heartbreaking... he can change, he just doesn’t want to

    I've said it before and I'll say it again: this show NEEDS actual counsellors and psychologists who can HELP these people. Here we clearly have an abusive mysogynistic alcoholic, he abuses both his wife and children and is basically useless as a husband and father. We have two traumatised children who have grown up being victims of their dad's drunken temper. We have an abused wife with such low self esteem that she can't even bring herself to divorce the cause of her problems because she feels like she needs him. Whilst I'm glad to see the hosts taking this issue seriously for once (because I've seen them treat equally serious topics as just a huge joke) the problem still remains that all they're doing is sharing opinions, none of them are qualified to give this family the help that they so desperately need.

Sure they don’t fight like they used to but they fight at least two days a week. Me and my siblings tell them to go to a marriage counseling but they don’t. I’m 22 now but I grew up sad just listening to them fight. I showed this to my dad because I don’t want my little sister growing up like that too! He said he’s going to change. I think this is a reflection upon our society today. Showing this problem in an entertaining show isnt right, but sometimes its needed to have the person understand how serious this is. I do agree that there should be professionals on the show to spread the word out there and to explain it. In Korea and in other countries, they are still in machismo mode and need to change for the equality of human rights.

    I used to be in a very similar situation like this where my dad drank a lot and came home so drunk he would fall flat on his face. My parents argued all the time and it was terrifying because I was around the same age as the younger sister if not I was younger so I was used to it all the time. My dad was never really there either for me and my mom he would always choose friends over family but the thing was my dad always said that they’d get a divorce because of my mom. Long story short they divorced and my dads drinking habits haven’t stopped and he forgets everything as well but what hurts is when he calls me a liar over everything. I hope their father can change do be a better man and that they can all live together and be happy.
