Very well-made demos! As was mentioned in a previous comment, this is a great asset because this kind of "hands-on" information is not available on the Pioneer site itself. When video demos are available, they're typically overproduced with all of the screen sequences edited out and a blaring heavy metal "duh-nuh-nuh" soundtrack. Your videos are refreshing. No snark, no bad words, no "in your face attitude", no rawk soundtrack; just good information. Thank you!

This is now officially my favorite page on KZread! I pretty much watch your page daily and I noticed that when you guys post Head unit reviews you don't have speakers hooked up, however I was wonder if you would consider adding at what volume the source units clip in your reviews as I am currently looking to buy a new Head unit. I know this is something I've been trying to look into and it is certainly something that the manufacturer aren't going to inform us about. Thanks again for consistently posting great content.

Just picked this up on sale in a kit with two 6x9s and two 6.5s for 100 bucks. The biggest selling point for me was the compact size will fit in my small glovebox.

Best buget headunit, imo. For what it has for dsp options many would find limited, but if you new to these features and dont want to dive into dsp prices, its pretty amazing for the price.

I have the X580BT and the ARC app will only connect if you hold down the M.C. dial until it connects.

Great review. In regards to the rear RCA outs, are those for plugging directly into speakers, or are they for sending the signals to an external amp? Thanks.

captainspeky they are for an external amp. There are 4 powered speakers outputs on the power plug.

Guys I have a problem. On the pioneer-eu.com there is only the MVH-X580BT model and not the MVH-X580BS, which is found on the pioneerelectronics.com. What are the differences between those two except size? What does that BT mean ? Also, on pioneer-eu.com there is no MVH-S501BS, but it is on pioneerelectronics.com. I want one of those three, mostly the MVH-S501BS or the MVH-X580BS.

will it fit in my 96 honda civic?

Is there a radio comparable to the Alpine CDE 196DAB? The menu navigation is too old for me and the display is boring. A 1din radio that is up to date but also as good as the alpine cde 196dab. Greetings from Germany

what was original price on this player in 2016?

Hi I bought the BT Model of this line up and I can't seem to connect the ARC with my phone. I am still able to stream music over Bluetooth and use ARC using wired connection. Does any one have this problem or if it just me?

Clayton Camilleri make sure you do the Bluetooth settings to tell it what type of phone you have.

Yes I already when I set it on Bluetooth it doesn't work and on wired it works

Clayton Camilleri hold function/volume control button for 3 to 5 seconds, then look on your phone and hit the red OK.

I'm looking for a deck that has good quality bluetooth for calling and music streaming , hands free calling using Google voice commands and works good with android (samsung), is this the deck for me?

I still have my old MP7400, with the slide down face, sitting in the garage. That was a flagship back in the day. 4V. If only I can just get that slide down face to work again.

but what i discovered after purchasing my first 4 volter (kdc-x998) i noticed no real difference with subs anyway.once my 1000 watt (90 rms)gets here for the mids and stuff maybe ill notice it then.And if im not mistaken more pre volts means your amp gains dont need to be up so high

Dam 5 0, turning off our subs!

2 volts are garbage always stay with a 4 volt preamp
