LC2i would be good for an oem stock radio that doesn’t have performance and the epicenter is to create bass for the subwoofer/speakers. But if you use both you can hear lower bass without losing the bass when you turn up the volume basically keep the bass curve from flatlining out

Oh, the Rockford P300 is a sealed sub with built in amp. I thought it was just an amp. A Key 500 is probably out of their price range.

Signal on a speaker wire is AC. The DC offset is just a 6 volt DC signal on at all times from the cheap "chip" amp built into a headunit

@@jdipo16I think I see the confusion. There is not a DC signal going across the two speaker wires. Either one or both of the speaker wires has the positive 5 or 6 volt signal, but the circuit has to go through the amplifiers ground cable. This is why when you're checking for the DC signal you put one probe on a speaker wire and the other to chassis ground. That's the only way you're going to see it. Only a special circuit built into the amplifier can detect that DC offset signal. The speakers are completely unaffected.

Thank you. 👊 Per your review, I'm wondering if I can mount the tire on top of the speaker, to hopefully achieve that better bass produced by having the speaker close to the body. Thoughts?

I just got one off of eBay as is, untested, and got lucky! Some minor blemishes I buffed out, everything works, and it's the best head unit I've ever had. The main thing is the physical volume click knob. I need that tactile feedback.

I installed this. When I use the gm02 harness I no longer get speaker sound soon as I unplug it and plug back up the factory harness sound is restored to all speakers. What’s causing that problem???

Hi guys! Love this video. I have a 02 ES300 without Mark Levinson or factory Navigation. I recently had a double din head unit installed along with a five channel amplifer. The issue I have is that the steroe shop told me that they were only to use 4 channels instead of 5. They did not bypass factory amp which I thought they were gonna do and somehow incorporated the new alpine AS55V with my factory amp. Issue is that now the fith channel was sacrificed and I don't have a woofer anymore. They told me that the system goes into protective mode when they hook up my factory woofer to this amp. They offered me to get a second amplifer just to power my factory sub. Factory sub was replaced with a new modern factory replacement but still. 1. Why did the shop not bypass factory amp in the first place for my install? 2. They want me to get a second amp just for my factory sub. They said they can do a factory amp bypass no problem but they will charge me 3 times the labor rate. I found a harnes on amazon that claims to be an amp bypass harness that is almost identical to the one you created just for my generation era Lexus. Also would you guys be able to make a harness that goes straight from factory amp plug to the back of my new head unit? How to decode Atmos in the car??? Apple TV has just HDMI output - So it can't actually be done in an aftermarket car audio system :(
