Pilates with Mini Ball - Great Workout for Beginners & Seniors

Total body mat Pilates workout using a mini ball. I love the mini ball as a prop to challenge, assist with correct form and most of all have fun!
This is full body workout that will challenge your core and glutes while lengthening, shaping and stretching the entire body.
As always please progress at your own pace. If lifting your shoulders off the mat is too hard on your neck, then please leave your head on the mat.

Holding onto the ball with a bent leg- tricky but I think I'm getting it. I used to do pilates years ago, and really liked it. Your instructions are so clear- thank you Lauren. 😇

I love this video. I’m not a senior but I love how gentle and peaceful this routine is. I still get a sweat and sore but not feel like I’m going to die. Besides a couple of moves this has been my go to workout while recovering from an Achilles tendon tear.

Hi Lauren I had another video picked out for today but glad I changed my mind and did this one. It was perfect for an active recovery day. The piano music was so relaxing I almost went to sleep on my mat. It was nice to be barefoot on the mat and gave me a chance to use the little ball that came with the Magic circle.

Who knew a ball could make Pilates be so fun ! Love it ! I also love the variety......was actually waiting for you to do a headstand holding the ball between our knees. LOL ! I felt like a kid playing in this workout yet had to focus with the ball ! Thanks ! Sharing to Facebook !

I really enjoyed this! I liked the slow measured pace but still really felt worked. I think I could try some of the moves with a weighted ball.

Hello Lauren. Thanks for all your workouts. I have frozen shoulder so it's difficult for me to do overhead reaching. What's an alternative to get that lengthening full body and spine stretch❤

You're so welcome Mejella. You can just reach forward and up as much as you can before you feel any pain. Focus on keeping your shoulders pressed down and you reach and think about growing taller. This way you are still lengthening and feeling the stretch in your spine. keep an eye out for my new video on shoulder mobility and stretching coming out in two weeks!
Aloha, Loved the Workout!!! I do have a question for you? At 16:58 is there another hand positions I can use - that turn of the wrists hurts especially my right wrist. 😕 Again, LOVE your workouts I do them religiously. They have helped me loose 40 pounds since November Thank You!!

Oh my gosh, that’s amazing Heidi, good for you! I’m glad you loved the workout. As for your wrists hurting; just do the exercises in this section on your elbows with your whole forearm resting on the floor. That will take all the pressure off your wrists. Hope that helps!

Hi Pham. You should try to do both. Core should always be drawn in. When thinking about bracing your abs, think about drawing your rib cage together, and not letting it flair out. That should allow you to have proper core engagement . Hope that helps!

Hi Snow. I hesitate to give an age range for any of my videos. They are for whoever feels comfortable doing them. Only half of the viewers on my channel are over age 50. As they say, age is just a number! This video could be challenging for an out of shape 30 year old, yet I have comments from 70+ that love it.
Can you take off the music in the background? It's impossible to both listen to you and hear it at the same time. The music is very distracting and is actually useless if there's also talking.
