When you see the video with the front facing camera you realise he immediately went into offensive driving. He cut off the shooter's car then swerved to try to hit other robbers stopped ahead and standing out of the car, then he actually rammed the white truck that tried to overtake.

South African here, i seen this video the day it happened. Respect to these 2 for holding it together. Usually these kind of Cash In Transit robberies dont end up well for the drivers. The driver was slowing down the car because they reached the truck they were escorting (at that point, it appeared for a moment that the driver was going to stop the car), you can see that on the other dashcam. The driver slowed down and tried to ram one of the robbers.

Those bugeyes are quite literally an _under-reaction._ I woulda geyser gushed fecal matter down my pant tubes after the first bullets smashed into the glass next to my head. Like not even from actual terror, but from the pure jumpscare of it. I doubt I would recover in time. But yeah, this guy handled it better than most of us would.

The guy on the right clearly draws out his gun and gets it ready, so he knew what to do to an extent, the seasoned guy on the left shows him better and he's probably a better man for it. I think the passenger was utterly surprised that the windows actually held up. When that shot hit his window he just stared at it while realizing if he dies they will find him with a load in his pants. The driver on the other hand was saying in his head "I've been training for this my whole life. It's fucking go time!!!!!!" I love how he just casually opens the door takes the time to slowly unbuckle his seat belt and proceed to get out gun in hand with no hesitation. He wanted to unload that thing into someone. Top notch worker.

That's the level of violence the thieves here in SA is willing to go for, for a couple of new Cell Phones. Also in one part the Driver (who is ex-special Police Force) says in Afrikaans, "Kom jou kont" which literally translates to, "Come you Cunt" Another 'fun fact' the Co-driver, it was his 4th day on the Job. The pair is currently Legend status here in South Africa, where crime is rampant, and they took a stand, also their relative calmness in a situation like that
