I wish I could send you a picture of my husband. He had a full grown Canada goose that followed him everywhere and would sit on his lap and sip out of my husband's whiskey glass. We named him Winton and he stayed with us for 19 years. It was quite an honor.

@@cmdrlightwalker_9877 I rescued him from people who captured him as a yearling. They didn't take care of him at all. I happened to have a female Canada goose that was also a rescue. Well strangely after a year of both of them being together she left our goose for another goose and left for the wild. My husband felt sorry for him and would go see him at the pond we had and give him treats. Well one day he started following my husband everywhere and when he sat down he jumped up on his lap and laid down. After that it was a really special bond. We even turned our sun porch into a home for the goose. My husband wod come home and the goose would coo and honk and just be so happy...when I went near the goose he would put his head down and hiss at me and bite me. I always found that funny. It was truly an honor to have experienced that.

Ain't that the truth......when I was finishing off High School I joined the Canadian Naval Reserves and my recruit division was tasked one day to help with the Unit's Navy League Cadets aka ankle biters (comparable to the Cub Scouts to the Boys Scouts) sports day. At the time the resident Cobra Chickens has just finished hatching their eggs and we had to keep the little ankle biters away from them. My buddy and I heard a scream and saw two of the little bastard were being chased by a pissed off Gander and Goose and as we were the closest we race after them. I scooped up the little bugger and ran for it while my buddy acted as a blocker. One of the geese caught up with him and nailed him on his ankle with a wing strike causing a hair line fracture. Turned out the little fuckers had been throwing stones at the geese....had I known that at the time, I'd of left them to the geese. Moral of the story, don't fuck with Canadian Geese......or Canadians for that matter......
