Only Feminist Men Believe In "Reproductive Rights"

Join The 4-Day Creator King Challenge - elliotthulse.com/challenge
In this video, Elliott explores the ethical complexities of in vitro fertilization (IVF), highlighting the moral dilemma of discarding unused embryos and the inconsistency of supporting IVF while opposing abortion. He argues for a focus on health education and societal well-being over reproductive technologies and criticizes the alignment of IVF and contraception with feminist ideologies. Elliott calls for a return to traditional moral values and urges young men to align their choices with broader ethical principles.

I guess it depends on the contraceptive methods? Some methods stop the already fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus wall, which is essentially immediate abortion. But like, the pill? There are some social implications tied to the sexual liberation of women. But as a contraceptive method? The egg just doesn't show up.

But as Elliot put it, the problem is blindly following feelings and desire. We as men should be able to look past feelings and instead work off of reason (i.e you shouldn't be fornicating as a Christian man or having sex if you have no condition of having a child anyways). Contraception is the removal of responsibility and the gateway to sin. Can't say I'm not guilty of it though.

@@CAlexRPG Appreciate the reply! I was asking because my view differs from Elliott's, and I don't fully understand his perspective. One point of difference is the viability restraint: I believe trying to refrain from any carnal activity whatsoever is a complete no-go in the long term. The ridiculous number of Christian men who master bait indicates as much. It's a perpetual unwinnable battle that fosters feelings of guilt and failure in people who really don't need any more of it. Suppressing who we are is really bad for mental health _when done perpetually, without an end in sight._ It makes some sense to me that contraception is a form of avoiding responsibility, which is generally not a good habit to build... But I'd also argue that taking on more responsibility than you can handle is just as bad, if not worse. If you want sex but don't want to have a child, you probably wouldn't make a great parent to begin with. So why force it? Also, if contraception is a problem of not taking responsibility, wouldn't that logic make saying no to sex a problem too? It prevents a baby from being conceived just the same.

I have a lot of thought, and a lot of oppinions. And all of them have a coexisting thought and oppinion within itself. A few questions I would like to ask. Are we playing God by creating life. Or are we following his example. Does god give you your body with the purpose to exept or to overcome it's limitation. When you are not furtile and you seek alternative tools, tool not handed by God, does that defy his will or given purpose bestowed upon you? If so, where do we draw the line of defying his purpose? Does medical attention defy his will? Are diseases and handicaps simply just hurdles to overcome or are these the devil's work. There is so much unclear and unlearned territory when it comes to this discussion.

This is not a mind blowing thing at all if you don’t use ancient fiction to get your values. I can’t take these people seriously. Dude has the audacity to talk about reason while appealing to an imaginary authority figure that can’t even be scrutinized. If put in a position to save a 1 yo baby or a petri dish with a 100 fertilized eggs, nobody is choosing the eggs because we can all recognize the inherent difference in value. Having a capacity to suffer carries a lot of weight, more so than just being a clump of cells

A profoundly deep and very modern ethical question. My initial thoughts is if I was in that situation I'd still do IVF. The karmic load is negligible relative to abortion. I'm not a Christian but we are compelled to be fruitful and multiply. I noticed a huge turning point this year with conservative/republican politicians, they've all of a sudden became pro choice?
