If you check 2 Corinthians 11 you'll see the true source of your religion from the "Father of Lies" and you need to "Test the Spirits" as 1 John 4 mandates.

People say Elliott has changed yet they seem to overlook the fact that he has always preached about grounding yourself. A religion is a path to enlightenment if pursued with the right intention. Elliott has chosen a path ‘catholicism’ as his way of staying on track through rituals and strong guidelines. Strong boundaries are needed in this chaotic feminine world. Choose a faith, but accept it for what it is, an interpretation of the truth.

I was always trying to run away from my reality (the phenomenological world around me) into ideas and thoughts and fantasies about where I should/want to be in life. The things I "wanted". One night I had a realization that God planted everything I need and want in life right in front of me, it was just a matter of tending to it, with my full heart. The adventure in life and the beauty is in the relationships we neglect, in the community we are nested within, the tools we have around us. Usually when we are caught up in our ideas of how reality "should be" at the current moment, we fail to participate in what actually IS and the opportunity that lies in front of our faces.

I am happy that you've found solice in the rituals of the catholic church, I agree wholeheartedly with the sense of following what ritual works best for you... I've been to churches, it really didnt resonate with me. But, I've tried a few different sects of catholicism, christianity, united, I've been to a few community churches around my city, and I've bounced around, never really felt connected. But, I've found some beautiful nature ritual with a norse group, and I wholeheartedly believe in the same god that catholics worship, but, I just find my path through this life as a wanderer. as an outsider. I've always felt closer to the fringe, so for ME, PERSONALLY. it works. I read the bible, but also read a lot of occult books, Norse mythology, greek mythology, the odyssey etc. my girlfriend is a classics major, university of western ontario, she's an expert on ancient religeons and history :) I really believe it's so very important to connect with your "Tribe" Speaking on the Catholic History, you should check out the Cathars. they were whiped out, for their acknoledgement of the devine feminine that they talk about in the devinci code ;) you'd find the roots interesting, a lodgemember shared the keyword with me, so im assuming it wasnt a secret. here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catharism Very powerful message you're spreading here. Singlemindedness is the "power"... it is the Secret. As they say, you can do anything you put your mind to. ---> I would add, that it's anything you put your mind to, day after day, week after week, month after month. Jim Carrey wrote himself a 10million dollar cheque for "acting services rendered" and then went out into the world and did everything within his power to make it a reality. I really believe god helps those who help themselves, and god is with those who believe in the power of goodness to triumph over evil. I think that is a very powerful tool that many occult resources mistakenly attribute to some force of inner godhood, when in fact it is god that is flowing through us. "I gave you my strength" you say this to your wife... That really really really really spoke to me man. more then I can possibly put here. A-z (the rapper) did a song called the format, where he says this one line that I also happened to come across the same day I heard you say this, so it's a wild connection. "restraint from temptation is DRAINED from both nuts!" powerful stuff man. God is the way, the truth, and the light. The bible is beautiful. I've found many churches are corrupted, and I have a lot of bad experiances with the church, rude, snooty people, everybodys trying to outdress eachother, it's basically a stuck up picnic. I assume, this isnt always the case between other congregations. I've never found a home in any church, always felt like an outsider. I'm a pagan myself, but I believe in god. Hillfolk have a lot of wisdom, and I believe in minor gods... but, there's only one creator. But, I think there are Great Spirits that oversee certain rivers, certain areas, certain mountains. I think there's stuff out there, and I dont think Christianity has all the answers. I think a lot of pagan gods are brutalist, because at the time of their conception, they were far more relevant to the people who held them as their patron. as for rising to god hood- I think the only thing humans can hope for, is a sort of demi-god-hood, (semi devine) ...idk. I think, you can attract the creator's attention by doing heroic deeds, being influential, and doing things that are in harmony with the higher power's plan.. I think people can act as the messangers, the HANDS, the servants, of god's will. It's easy to get high on your own supply with that line of thinking, but I think it's plenty valid to think that god would interact with his lego set, not just building stuff, but creating stories with the little lego men. Thats what I did with building blocks as a kid, I imagine god did much the same with the universe. I might be a pagan, but I pray everyday though, I try to meditate as often as I can throughout the day, it has a huge effect on my sense of connection with the world around me. anyways. if you're reading this...I hope you're well.

Very interesting take. I don’t really feel drawn to Catholicism but i always love to hear your opinions as i know they’re been carefully inspected top to bottom. I am wondering what you think about Christian contemplation, Buddhism, and Advaita Vedanta and the message of non duality they all seem to point to. My journey has seemingly brought me to these sorts of teachings though i never expect a final stop, and I’m curious if you’ve investigated it for yourself.

@@TheDipset1233 just because it's older, it doesn't mean it's more right. Even in the Bible. In The Old Testament people sacrified animals to the God, or were allowed to harm one another "eye for an eye", or to have more wifes. That was morally right back then until God sent us his Son, Jesus Christ to teach us that there is the other way. We shouldn't do such things anymore because it's not right in the Spirit of God, and for us Chatolics The New Testament is what we primarily listen to and follow. So to us, it's not important what religion is older, because we abandoned even our own old ways so that we can follow the Christ and His Word.

@Blerky Gaming If you were Lucifer, and your primary goal is to destroy Catholic Church, what would you do? How would you turn people away and against it? My answer is: from the inside! I would send my own people in the Church, or "spiritually attack" priests that are already inside. I would make the Church and Catholicism the most despised and hated religion on the Earth. It is even written and predicted in the Bible it will be like this. So yes, Catholic Church has some not only corrupted but completely evil people inside it, even in the Vatican. We Catholics are aware of it, talk about it, and pray for our priests and Church. We can do as much about it as you can do about evil world leaders. There aren't as many Christians, as there are corrupt people in the world, we are outnumbered greatly. We can do only so much about it because it's not only a worldly but spiritual war going on inside the Church and in the whole world. For example, I think that they hid pedophile priests from either fear of worldly judgment Church would get if they found out (people are that weak and that stupid) or out of purpose (probably both), so to destroy Catholic Church from the inside and harm children, the most innocent of all who God loves the most. The Vatican is not ruled by only one man, who makes all the decisions out there. I think there is a spiritual war between good and evil in the Vatican, and God only knows what is going on there. But! That doesn't mean our Catholic Church is false, should not be trusted, or should be abandoned. Did you abandon your country and stop following all the laws just because some of your politicians are corrupt and evil bastards who eat and rape children for breakfast? Where would you go? Corruption is in every country, every institution, and where ever there are people. People are weak. That's why God sent us his Son, Jesus Christ to save our souls. God already gave us Heaven on Earth with the Garden of Eden, but no, we wanted to be like God, we wanted freedom, we wanted to know what is right from wrong. But we people are weak. We can't carry such responsibility. So Satan who hates us, people, used that to his advantage and agenda to destroy us because he is jealous of how much God loves us, imperfect, petty beings. So we chose freedom, and God respects that. He will not stop some child rapist, although He is horribly angry and sad. He did send us his Son to die for our sins (if we repent truly, and follow his Church) and in the end, God will destroy and conquer Satan. He gave us enough time to spread the Word and to save our souls. A very large number of souls won't be saved and will end up in great pain. God cries for every soul lost because he loves us as we are his children, but he can't do more about it and respect our free will at the same time. He is (like) a good Father.

This topic brings to mind followers of certain Neo-Christian faiths, which I will not name, people that I personally know, fervent adepts of such "branches" of Christianity, branches that have essentially removed most if not all symbolism out of Christianity, most if not all rituals, which they actually have the gall to call pagan rituals and symbols and some of them even view the Cross as such. And what is to me most striking about some of these individuals, some who are to me distant family even, is their arrogance, their lack of humility in their faith, the actual superior attitude they boast with not just upon atheists or non-Christian faiths but upon other Christians. They often go as far as calling other Christian faiths as blasphemy, remnants of paganism. I find this very disturbing as these were conversations that I personally heard, but not interfered, it's not my place to judge another man's faith. So I sometimes think if these Neo-Christian faith are not a product of secular ideology, who understands that by removing symbolism and ritualism from a man's faith is a sure way to lead him astray from God, and the arrogance I spoke of may be the most prominent and immediate side-effect of this subversion that they may not even be aware of. I know I sound as if I'm judging here, and if so then I own it. I think it's something any of us who claim to be faithful should ponder on every now and again. Peace.
