I definitely have those thoughts where I weigh reality against what I originally hoped for. Been trapped in a cycle of self-pity/depression and I've been paying for my self-imposed prison and weakness. But recently, I truly decided to put a stop to all of that and live with more intentionality. I am fed up with who and what I currently am. I have always been blessed and now I see it. I'm still working on it, but I've cut out video games, started taking online courses, and working back-to-back 50 hour weeks. Time to climb out of this mess and MAN UP. Taking responsibility and never looking back. Took way too long to find it but I found it and am learning. Hopefully more men find their way as well. 🙏

it's especially hard because a lot of the harshest judgements you form in your life are an attempt to deny parts of yourself that live in the shadow. So you have to admit to yourself that you may be, or are, what you have been publicly condemning for years or decades. Very difficult.

I got hit by a car roughly three weeks ago. Had to get plates in my elbow and lots of stitches, as well as some in my head as it was slightly split in the back when I hit the ground. I am a juggler, so this injury sucks, but I had to reflect on perhaps why the God allowed this to happen. I wasn't living in major sin, but I did have slight anger issues with crowds who didn't tip me, and I had the thought that sometimes the Father will allow a big demon to beat the little demon out of you. He punishes those he loves for correction so you can get even more right. A big part of getting right is making sure your speech, especially towards others is righteous and not froward as the scriptures say. It's a miracle and a blessing I'm still walking and can fully use my other arm/hand.

sometimes even a 'little' or 'slight' sin can be more serious than we initially think, to point of being serious time bomb in our lives. and that's before we even consider concept of a Perfect God. myself, i don't keep a car so i ride bike everywhere 100% of the time. so that's my biggest on-earth fear: getting hit by a car, cos being in car all the time is basically prison to me. "the box" from Cool Hand Luck except it's on four wheels. am glad you have not be rendered paralysed for life or such by getting hit. be diligent with your physical therapy exercises and use this time to listen to God! "wasn't living in major sin, but I did have slight anger issues with crowds who didn't tip me, and I had the thought that sometimes the Father will allow a big demon to beat the little demon out of you."

Yo Elliot! Helpful video, thank you for sharing. I am protestant and it definitely is not a religion of do whatever you want. Some professing protestants may treat it that way though. One big difference, perhaps the biggest distinction between catholicism and protestantism is salvation by works vs. salvation by grace through faith. Protestantism teaches that we still obey God but that obedience is a result of His grace in saving us and not something that earns our salvation. Catholicism teaches that we earn our way to God and achieve salvation on our own merit apart from Christ's free gift of grace. Although some lip service is given in favor of salvation by grace through faith by catholics, the catholic religion functions as a works based system.

Did this exact thing! I let my stamina go and integrity (gave in to those sweet foods, alcohol, sex, etc) when otherwise my default was mastering the usage of "no" and when to implement it! Workout, structure, planing, foresight, endurance. All of it gone as an eating disorder was the ultimate result. My opinions of self and lack of opinions of others yet I understood them because I didn't judge them opened the door to comfort and ease. Temptations were strong and they always are. But I know where I default. I observe. I no longer rigidly force as much, to much tension and the lever arm will snap. However I've learned to more or less humble my temperament and respond vs react. But make no mistake both response and reactions have their place. I remember literally having a God crisis. Full of self assurance while it enabled great resiliency, I ultimately wound up lost and confused. Thanks as always and best of journeys to all of you. Endeavor to preserve!

Hey Elliot, I'm a 24yo American USMC veteran currently fighting in Ukraine right now. (For proof: Video of me on my channel shooting my AK 74 in full auto))) I volunteered for the International Legion because I was sick of working a boring 9-5 job.. So far I love it here, I am part of a brotherhood and i know i am making a difference. I am taking part in something historical and will be able to tell my stories to my grand children if i make it out of this place alive. When I hear air raid sirens I get a rush of adrenaline and it makes me feel like a real human being. When I am hunkred down and I hear small arms fire and tank treads the sense of danger is like a high to me. It feels as if I am a real man, risking my life for my beliefs and my brothers in arms. I'm curious as to why so many young men want to fight in war. What is your opinion on this?

You fight a war of America until the very last Ukrainian. You don't fight for freedom or democracy. If you want to fight for freedom and democracy in Ukraine, you need to get rid of the Azov battalion criminals. Fighting for the common good would make you a hero. You'll understand it some day if you survive that pointless war of unequals that Russia will certainly win. Stay safe and think about who you're used by.

Lol the bit about the wife… I married my GF after 3 years of being in a relationship. As soon as we got married things started going down hill. She completely changed after marriage. I started a real estate business and market crashed and also I realized I need to be a great liar in order to close sales, but the last thing that I wanted to do was to f**k people over for their money.. so that business is pretty much in thr back burner. Currently i am back in my hometown taking Care of my dad. He is dying from end stage liver failure… everyday he begs for death and for his soul to be free. Seeing him pain just brings tears to my eyes… Hope its true that things need to go south before i get to level up… currently this has been the toughest year of my life..

I followed my heart, and they found it as an excuse to freak out. Around April 20th it was a lil hectic, tensions was running high. I was cool around that time because I’m aware of the seasons. My actions were explained in an exaggerated way and it caused some folk to stalk me. I already apologized before the stalking because I scared them unintentionally and like I said, they used it as an excuse to freak out. I took note of all the stalking dates and time. He even brought people into the mix. I’m pretty angry how I’m thought poorly of. Especially from my neighbors who see me go to school, exercise, do bad ass skateboard tricks, and do community service. My main stalker comes across as a gang member so I’m keeping my distance. The more I reflect on the situation the more I see how this is a power play. Prior to this whole thing I noticed that his clothes were getting more raggedy and his facial expression seemed devilish. A couple months prior to the freak out I said what’s up to him and it took him a minute to return the head nod. It almost as if my neighbors are haters. Good thing I was in the midst of moving out. I’m preparing my punches and kicks just in case I have to beat a middle aged bulls ass, I do not want it to go there because he’s a father you know but mother truck I will survive

It was trouble voice in head. i heard it. later i relapsed after work 4 times. the mind saif no no. do it 5 times more. i did it. but eventually i went for walk and recommited. today is tuesday im ready but my motivation is weak as like sunday. disciplined willl win. i have my tasks lists ready for today. feel lowly of myself as i xant beat these strong urges. this is how mind plays. in not giving in or up. bros

When I legit found God, I was at my peak. After I found God I lost my mind and everything I worked for. It's like when I found God, I got closer to the devil. God hasn't given up on me yet and I don't know why. Am I supposed to be somebody special? Seriously why am I still here after all the bullshit.

Start by studying the mainstream ones. I'd suggest read and listen to The Quran first, It's very soothing. Also It's the Religious Book that says: 4:82 Do they not, then, ponder about the Quran? Had it been from someone other than Allah, they would have found in it a great deal of discrepancy. 2:23 If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then bring a Surah (Chapter) similar to this, and do call your supporters other than Allah, if you are true. 81:27 It is nothing else but a message of advice for all the worlds, Allah is the word for "The God" in Arabic. People whose mother tongue is Arabic call God Allah even if they're Jews Christians etc.
