The crew of this tank is three people. the commander and the gunner were mobilized a year ago. their mechanic was wounded and the company commander was driving instead. And he was just a driver

I speak Russian and the Russian observers were contemplating whether or not their SPGs and other weapons could support them, but it was more along the lines of that the ycouldn’t. They stopped the SPGs from working the area too closely when the T-80 got too close, and the one ATGM they fired missed and they said they didn’t have any more. The observer was amazed at the T-80’s performance, even stating he had goosebumps and calling the tank “Rex the dumb cunt” at first and later saying he should be a Hero of Russia, while another guy calls him Rambo.

This footage was intentionally made bleary to put in their pro Ukraine propaganda assessment. The initial footage showed every communication and action clearly. The drone crew talking to both tank crew was just like some video game. The Russian crew were really fearless in the face of 7 opponents.

A few corrections. The fire support for the Russian tank was only from AGS (automatic grenade launcher, 30mm) and from SPG. They do call to support them with anything they have, but you can hear from drone operators that they are all out of anti tank weapons. So it's just artillery and SPG support for this tank. Great work. Goes in and out of combat 3 times. Crazy

@@marcusflutist1230 yes, there is a hit right in the middle. Is it spg, artillery, or tank? Unknown. It’s not antitank Kornet, the boom is too big. Either artillery or 120mm mortar… from what I see, the tank has support of artillery(3shots) and that’s it. Any other talk about kornets, ags, or machine guns is just talk, they ask if they can use it but they say out of ammo etc. they call for support from ags, but i dont see any ags hits anywhere in the area… so its just a tank and couple artillery shells…great work

Here are all the facts on the video from the Russian: 1. There was no ATGM - they wanted it, but they all ran out. 2. There was no request for artillery - they asked for an AGS - an automatic hand grenade launcher. But they did not, being afraid to hook their own. 3. The crew of the tank was awarded. Today is August 1, 2023. Everybody is alive.

The 2 Russian drone operators went from worrying and screaming for help to literally commentating and encouraging the madlad to go on.

@@commenter648 Good point, and very true! I have 3 good friends that were or are currently involved (2 volunteered and 1 was drafted). One is a drone operator, one is a member of the infamous ЧВК Барс - 1 (Same guys that stormed majority of the south eastern side of Donetsk), and one who is a engineer. The one from Барс is now stationed in the Middle East or Africa (was not allowed to say) and he stated on a number of times, that from 2022 to 2023 (He left Ukraine in November of 23) was a huge game changer in tactics, use of weaponry, etc. I believe that any war will result in changes in the way the war is fought.

This is why Ukraine's counter offensive is being measured in meters instead of KM.

Having a larger army means you can maintain a higher tempo of operations because when units get exhausted, you can replace them more easily.

Just because Russia has units on borders of their numerous neighbors to secure their homeland does not change the fact that the Russians in Ukraine are actually outnumbered (just slightly now, but still are) since day 1. It is all nice and dandy knowing you have tens of thousands of soldiers guarding the borders with Mongolia or the coast near Japan, but when you are fighting near Orekhiv, it is not really much of a use to you.

@Shadow66090 this is a very poor understanding of how combat works and even this conflict. First off On the first few days to weeks Ukraine was outnumbered because the majority of the units haven't been mobilized fully. Second Ukraine is also not keeping every unit on the Frontline that's retarded the tactical advantage of a strategic reserve is you can act more aggressively and with the idea that someone else will help you or replace you once exhausted. Russia having more means they should have had a significantly more successful offensive than bahkmut Lastly the Ukrainians are the smaller country with almost no means to produce anything for itself anymore and less troops activity deployed than Russia and somehow has taken more land than bahkmut. We expect Ukraine to fail as bad as the Russians did not the Russians failing like that.

Doesnt matter...if alone this guy is moving closer...thats enough to show his bravery.

the russian tank is confident in moving forward so i doubt there are mines in there. the ATGM crew said they are out of missiles and the artillery was ordered to hold fire to avoid friendly fire. the tank retreated when he noticed artillery dropping but returned after the barrage. so the tank inflicted most of the casualties

There are like tens of videos of Russian tanks ambushing columns and deleting them. Russians are good tankers comes after long experience from Afghanistan, Syria and Chechnya. But they still had bad time at the first six months of the war, later on they relieved

Shortly after this drone footage was made public, there was an interview done on the crew of this lone tank; their tank is supposed to by a T-80U or some sort based from the details of the tank seen in their interview. Based from the interview, the Tank commander pointed out this is a common occurence for them to engage the Ukrainian in such distance and at such isolated at the frontline. He pointed out how there are more drone footage of their battles since the start of the Uke offensive circa-80 days ago, but we only get to see one at the moment probably because it passed censorship (for OPSEC reason) and approved for release by the RusMoD.

There were 8 armored vehicles on the Ukr side, 2 takns and 6 armored personal carrier out of which 1 was IFV. The T80 on the russian side on the first engagement stroke the Ukr tank on the right side of the column and saw how big the column was after which he shot 2 shots and grazed/missed the infantry carriers. THis in turn made them panic and 1 vehicle went off the road and on top of the mine. the rest got stuck in the position since they seemingly did not know how many tanks there were or what was going on. After which another tank is destroyed by artillery and 1 more vehicle is destroyed by atgm. then in the second turn the Russian T80 came and knocked out 2 vehicles but just to play on the safe side pulled back and in the third turn once he saw or was confirmed by drone operator that the column is in disarray he came back and finished them off. The tank was not alone and it was a good team effort but still russian tank crew did an excellent driving.

No artillery was involved - the drone guys clearly tell to the artillery unit to hold fire untill the tank retreats. There was something like ATGM shot from the right side, but it missed.

Many people here don't like what happened when one Russian Vanya opposed an enemy column and destroyed it.. They come up with mines, a second tank, artillery, ATGM, something that did not exist. .But no one can dispute the speed with which a lone tank was moving towards the enemy column.. This case will be included in all textbooks on tank combat! The tank crew are heroes! The commander is an ace! 👌👍🤝

@@DmitryCompton Нет, еще прошлым летом было видео в телеге, где 1 наш танк остановил 3-4 танка и колонну М113 (не родных американских, а голландский вариант). Там еще в комментах чел писал, что он там был в пехоте и они готовились уже косплеить панфиловцев, когда появился этот танк и остановил врага. Потом артиллерия добила (с его слов), но в ролике этого уже не было.

This is not the first video I've seen of Russian tank crews doing great fire and maneuver. There's footage of the Russian tank that pulled up on 2 Ukrainean Armored vehicles, blew them up and hauled ass out of the area before any counter attack. The driver was very skilled.

The tank "driver" Is my brother. He is 39 years old. And he is not russian by nationality (he is Sakha) but he is Russian within. By the way, about 3-4 mounth ago their tank crew did an atak by their own and saved a lot of soldiers from the ukr's. But they was tretened because they didnt get permission to do it. 😅

Whatever your argument was, I believe if you were that tank commander, you would've run away to save your ass....bravo this tank crew of Russia, true bravery! This is why Russia won't be losing the war.

The most amazing thing is that the Russian tank was asked to retreat and warned that there was a large column going there, but he did not retreat and then they immediately began to contact the artillery and ATGM in a bit of panic, so that they would support him. It is also heard on the recording that the operator is shocked by the courage of the tanker and is surprised that he returns to the column again and again.

Artillery did not engage, the drone officer called them off due to the risk of hitting it's own tank, that tank at least hit three targets behind that tree line

I agree, I am not sure why people think the entire Russian military crap. I was a gunner on 60mm mortars back in the day. My gun crew was top notch, expert on all gunner skills and very good when it came to putting steel on target. The second gun crew was good, but no where near where my crew was because they had not trained as much together as a team. There are many reasons why there is a difference in the talent of different crews, some just are not as capable even though they have the exact same training and time together.

Besides the T-80's competent performance, the biggest thing that struck me was just the continuous stream of Ukrainian vehicles. Maybe they were trying to force a breach or something, but the T-80 kept the column pinned and let the fire support rip into it. It's usually only in the second summer of any war that the Russians remember how to fight.

@@showdown66 I'm not questioning the single file, I'm questioning why they kept committing after seeing the 5 vehicles in front of them get hit. I know they have orders and whatnot but force preservation is important especially when you're reliant on foreign support. And it takes just as much courage to see the fireball the head of the convoy became and still go forward in nothing but an MRAP.

I watched the entire 10 minute drone footage and I have to say that it may have been one of the coolest tank combat footage I have seen Edit: stop commenting "people are dying why are you saying it's cool" I like combat footage, not the people dying part.

If you speak russian you can find interviews with crew members. The guys, who drove tank is asian-russian officer, real hero and very cool guy.

According to the crew, they knocked out 1 tank, its turret was torn off, three armored personnel carriers and 1 tank was hit by artillery. The tank also knocked out three armored personnel carriers. Also, from the operator's conversations, the entire battlefield is divided into sectors. It is clearly heard there that the column arrived from Sector 126 to Sector 144. This suggests that the artillery already knows the coordinates and it is aimed at the sector. The column was doomed.

​@@emirefe5452 Well, if you take into consideration the realities of modern warfare, like ultra-accurate artillery with guided shells, drone surveillance and correction of artillery, long-range guided anti-tank weapons on choppers or even just regular infantry, kamikaze drones or remote cluster mining, 1 tank in the open going against 2 enemy tanks and 6 armored vehicles is extremely brave, even when compared to WW2.

If you watch the video in Russian, the operators said that the artillery was working there together with one tank, and it rolled back to recharge after it entered the battle again and finished off the equipment.

Balls of the crew of that tank. What absolute madlads to pull that off knowing the enemy outnumbers you.

The tank crew should be awarded the highest combat medal in Russia, they charged that column alone without knowing if there would be any support and repelled the assault by Ukrainians. Respect to those who showed bravery in times of war, regardless where they are from.

This dashing attack by the Russian tanks crew while drone operator yelling at him to withdraw is one of the most heroic things I've ever seen. Bravo.

I can POSSIBLY explain why this happened. This is just something to think about. I was a Tank Commander in a Heavy CAV unit back in the day. The scouts are forward, we observe usually from behind in 2 tank teams to search for targets and keep track of the scout. In defense scouts would be forward as pickets and we would be somewhere behind doing the same function as above. A column of enemy vehicles is coming quickly and the scouts need to get back because they have limited means to respond to the size of the column and Artillery cannot do its work with them in forward in the area of contact. The Tank crew did its job. It went out and engaged the column, making it stop, giving time for scouts to get back to more prepared lines, and most likely withdrew back as well for artillery to do its work. That crew was experienced and knew pressing forward knocking out two of its biggest threats ASAP, and using the confusion of the enemy who cannot see where the fire is coming from due to being buttoned up, treeline, smoke, to light up who they can see and withdraw while the enemy is stopped, confused, and in Artillery range. This is just an opinion based on training experience. NOT saying this happened, but this is what CAV does, and is expected to do. I will say that tank commander and crew knew what they were doing and I just hope I would have proven to be half as good if I was in the same position.

The Russian crew of the tank was smart and brave to fight "alone" (somehow anyway) against a column

There is a confirmation and interview with crew already available. Your analysis was wrong. Tank's crew defeated 2 tanks on their own and forced them to stop. In the end 1 tank indeed stopped entire column of vehicles and destroyed the main force of the column. Fire from AGL and LNG-9 supported them which crew mentioned in interview. Heavy artillery itself was unable to work because of friendly fire. Only AGL an LNG-9 were available for this situation, so they were used. Crew is alive and will be awarded soon. Tank was T-80BVM.

I don’t talk about soldiers at all, in Ukraine they don’t take into account human losses. All these stupid attacks are called "meat assault".

Just as they do in a video game, better may be. The Russian tank commander deserves all the credit for knocking off all that Ukrainian toys. His actions stopped the convey, letting the artillery get some spot on shots, and forced some vehicles into the minefield.

Actually there was mention in telegram channels - how crew - was(!) indeed playing games before. One guy there - was a WoT gamer, another (presumably a Gunner) - was a WT player, and another - was a BF vet. So, yea, there are a gamers. And this is kinda no joke - in Russian Army, even then you go in Conscription tour (like South Korea do), or even if you go in Russian Army as Contract Soldier - 90% chance - half of your army base, soldiers bro's and even RA Officers - can be a hardcore WoT players. Which was happened with me too - almost half of my army base in my conscription tour - was a WoT gamers, lol. They can't STFU - when start braginng about WoT, lol.

The author of the video says that there is not one tank, and there were ATGMs, but this is a lie, I, as a person who speaks Russian, say that in the original video the military says "let the ATGMs work" to which he is answered "they are over, they are not there"!! It was one tank that worked! I speak Russian In the video the drone operator was calling for artillery support on the position and relaying the number of destroyed Ukrainian tanks. The footage was taken in the first month of the Ukrainian Oinkfensive. The operator also was shocked that the Russian tank returned multiple times to that position and did not flee either way this footage is insane. The operator does mention that they would be awarded medals in the video and given the lack of coverage by western msm media it's impossible to know if they were awarded posthum or not you mentioned all of this already though great vid EDIT: So Russian telegram sources have released a video where the crew of this tank did an interview. It's quite interesting and does seem to confirm their survival.

Координация хорошая, а коммуникация не ок. Не было ПТУРов, не было связи с танком. Ему только сказали что навстречу едет колонна. Командир прыгает в люк с рацией, рванув навстречу и связи больше нет. @@Fulgream Судя по всему, видео, которое мы увидели, снято случайным наблюдателем. Скорей всего, оператором коптера из соседнего подразделения. Посмотрите: в верхнем углу экрана надпись "предельная дальность". То есть коптер на предельной дальности все равно не достигает поля боя, а вынужден созерцать его со стороны. Поэтому комментарии к видео эмоциональны, но достаточно бестолковы. Они искрено хотели помочь, но не могли. Происходящее же на поле боя выглядит как очень хорошо скоординированная атака. Танк отступает, дает возможность работать арте и снова приближается, когда есть такая возможность. И, в момент приближения танка, стихают остальные средства поражения. То есть координаторы боя видели его из другой точки наблюдения (не той, которую видим мы).

Am very sure this video was a huge morale booster for russians. I bet all countries will use this videos as a training material on how to avoid been slaughtered by a single tank.

Tank crew also might decided to pull back because friendly artillery started pounding. Safe distance for tanks according to the Russian doctrine is 200m from enemy positions when artillery is targeting them.

While the tank crew did a great job which you can compliment, it is still weird to comment stuff like this. Others named them Heroes which is even more weird. I mean the tank is part of an invading force inside another country. Withdrawing these forces would actually make all of this unnecessary in the first place.

@@anidiot2818 ukraine genocided its own people in eastern ukraine led by the self admitted US led coupe in 2014. thats what started this civil war. this did not start when russia got involved in 2022. the entire planet ignored ukraines crimes for 7 long years of civil war until russia got involved and the world put all of ukraines crimes on russia because "rUsSiA bAd"

It's not the driving, iust imagine you're the Russian tank commander and you see 8 armored vehicles coming at you and you decide to fight( i know they had support, but they were the only target for the Ukrainians they could have very easily lost their lives but they stayed)

Именно, танк мог получить как танковый снаряд так и птур от пехоты или maxxpro или бмп. А кроме того не известно знал ли экипаж что там 2 танка а не больше, потому что оператор дрона говорит с артиллерией а не с танком. По сути все аналитики котрые тут говорят что это ничего особенного, сами бы поехали в другую сторону увидив бронеколонну.

What is happening in Ukraine is on scope and scale which NAT0 was not even able to imagine and has no answer to it. NAT0 has almost no ammo left, no artillerry , no tanks, no missilles to stand up Russia. Imagine, U. K. , or some people in U.K. want to fight Russia directly while only having 40(!) Chalanger tanks in working order :) Ridicul*us NAT0 is a paper tiger. NAT0 spent 2O years learning how to fight Afghan wedding parties and Iraqi villagers, because that is pretty much what NAT0 was doing. NAT0 forgot how to do a large scale ground combat. NAT0 even has no means to do large scale combat. China is there for Russia, Russia is there for China.... Who is there for USA? United Kingdom with their 40(!) Chalenger tanks in working order ??? The only NATO country with somewhat formidable military willing to fight Russia is Poland. Outside of them, nothing. My country (Slovakia) basically gave Ukraine all our combat-capable vehicles, jets, SAMs, everything.

So, the tank perfectly played its modern role - acting as a combat platform.

Well, be correct. This one tank, didn't destroyed column by itself. But, it stopped it and causing destruction of whole armored column, as sigle. Technically, it did it. Without that one single tank, that column will pass further with some damage, certainly, further than that point because we can clearly see that after those bushes, Russian tank drive pretty freely, not worrying about mines. And, THAT is what is essential, that point is the maybe last area of minefield, so they defended it fiercely and fearlessly.

If Russian army still don't want to upgrade their T-72 and T-90 series transmission to have a better reverse speed, I really hope T-80 series can get another modernization up to T-90M standard at minimum.

@@az-6262 are you actually asking proof that russia, THE MASSIVE oligarch-infested country, and is one of the most corrupt countries in the world? Why does OmskTransMash (the main factory for T-80s) choose BVs rather than the U variant? Because it's cheaper. And all that money from MoD funding could go to the U variant but instead they go to the BV variant, again because it's cheaper so they could keep the extra leftover fund for themselves. You literally don't have to be a genius to figure this out.

This is why I don't activate 150% RP Booster. It messes up your matches. Now the AFU has to spend a few thousand SLs in repairing.

They better make a movie about this amazing tank battle...go Russia
