Love this!!
Its crazy how right his tips are. I've watched alot of his videos on his own personal channel, and I know how hard he actually worked. I guess years of experience did help. I've seen his tips help me out a lot. I some times have huge jumps and it's usually when I do all of the things just like in the video. I've watched lots of jumping tips videos and all that, but I've Found that Steven's tips are the best. Much love keep going Steve
Helped me a lot. Thanks for those good advice. The "look at the rim" and use the arm swing are very useful... I tried it today.
Few days ago I just reached the backpanel 3 times and its the highlight for me in basketball in a while. I hope I can reach rim soon with your tips and build some kind of habitual moves. Thanks
Love this i have been a two foot jumper for some time and i've been looking to learn jump higher with one foot

I’ve now been one foot jumping for over a year. And all of these aspects of one foot jumping came to me naturally. So to practice one foot jumping you can practice technique a little, but just jump a lot.
I love ur video's these helped me increase my jump and cuz of that now I'm able to touch the rim

Hey thanks! I his video helped me realize what I was doing to hurt my self when I was dunking. I was leaning back and as a result of that my landing was awkward and pulled my back every so often. Running “tall” and looking solved this for me! (It’s also easier do dunk)
Sorry I'm late, but this is exactly what I was looking for.

Depends on your standing reach
@crazedxi2098
Жыл бұрын
Measure your standing reach, unless you have short arms, touching 9’8 at 5’9 is not even close to a 30 inch vert. My vert is slightly under 30 at 5’11 and I can almost dunk.

Tray Tillis im 5’10 😞 but the most important factors aside from technique and of course leg strength is core strength and flexibility. So every day you should 5-10 minutes of yoga/ stretching to really open up your hip flexor and other muscles you use to dunk. And eat clean + work your core. Hopefully I helped

Plz make a video on how to declare for the draft
Hey! The video is really *really* informative so thanks for that. On a side note I wanted to ask about finishing the dunk. I'm going to correct my jump technique thanks to this video (I feel comfortable with mine but who knows, there might be some hidden inches in there) but right now my most important issue is ball hitting back of the rim and flying off to orbit near ISS. What would you suggest for that? Am I taking off too close or far? Because I always feel my wrist hitting the rim right as I try to flush the ball down.
Love ur vids keep em up plz respond

Make a turtorial on how to do a windmill
@ILB
3 жыл бұрын
Best advice there, is jump UP before beginning the windmill motion. Lean slightly forward can help with rotation. Most people fail to jump up and then windmill- they instead start windmilling as soon as they leave the ground, and it kills their vertical

Thanks so much this truly been a blessing
I used to be a 1 foot jumper, but I've gained like 15-20lbs from the weight room since last year. Now I can touch rim off 2 feet but not 1.
im more of a two foot jumper, pretty much been for as long as i can remember but in training to dunk i want to move to one foot so it can translate in game
What are the best exercises for increasing your vert in general? I seemed to reach a standstill and can't seem to get it higher
@ILB
3 жыл бұрын
There's many areas to improve, so I'd self-diagnose weaknesses FIRST and then focus on where you need the most improvement. 1. Approach (no stutter steps, a consistent increase in speed, explosiveness, dorsiflexed ankles) 2. Plant (penultimate step fast/proper control) 3> Take Off (knee drive, arm drive, eyes on the target, staying VERTICAL during take off AND in the air (not leaning forward or backwards)
