For some reason I can only jump with one foot. I should start two foot cause I know that I could add a few extra inches to my vert with the penultimate step and all but when I do for some reason I end up goin of one foot
My younger brother and I are 5’8 and 5’9 and we love basketball he watched this video 3 months and started dunking at 5’8! I’m only 1 year older and we’re very competitive. I realized what I was doing wrong in this video. thankyou 🙏🏽🎯 ~ADot

Give us an update, I’m intrested too. I’m 14 and I’m 6”0ft tall and im close to dunking, I get almost half the ball above the net when I jump and im so close to dunking off 2. I can’t dunk off 1, but I can catch alley oops, but I’m interested to know how much progress you made in 6 months?

Im a pretty experienced jumper, played volleyball in highschool and basketball regularly for fun during college (current). 6’2, can even touch my head to the backboard. But jumpings always come naturally as a motion, and ive noticed some faults in it- cant wait to try these and make it more mechanical!

the hoop I play on is a little high. without measuring, I think about two extra inches. was able to two foot jump and catch the rim with two hands and hang off it today. I want to hit one in game soon.

im 6'3 and i was a basketball player back then im 6'3 now but when i was 14 my height was around 5'8 and i could dunk easily (one legged). (only problem was palming the ball earlier) i didnt know anything about jumping techniques/workout etc but i noticed that last step was the most important thing. this guy is right. listen him. last step should be explosive. i wanna add one more thing. try to reach higher with your hand.

I'm 5'7 and I can only get the ball to the rim. My run up is decent, I'm a left to right jumper like this guy in the video but I only see the same results but I notice that I can get a bit higher if I jump a little farther away, but results are still the same, ball at the rim. Are there any tips you can give me to improve?

Slow down. Stuttering is your brain telling your body it's not comfortable- so it tries to "self-correct". START OVER when you stutter step, don't practice stuttering. Instead, start slow and ACCELERATE into your explosion step aka the penultimate step!

@@ILB When I started jumping I was just unintentionally jumping of one foot, but not a long time ago I tried to jump of two feet and noticed that I could reach higher. Now I train my 2 feet jump, I jump of two steps because I jump lower off two feet from running yet, but I getting better in that though. So I think you should try every way to jump to understand what is better for you

@@ogposer Nothing wrong with finding what's better- but train both! Who ever made up you're either a "one foot jumper" or a "two foot jumper" was wrong. The real answer is "you're either MORE COMFORTABLE naturally jumping off of one foot or two" Because you can train BOTH and get great at both ways!

Im actually a one leg jumper, or left foot jumper to be exact, i need this because i need to work on my two foot bounce
my vertical is 32inches off 2 feet but I'm not moving fast when i jump i take a regular step forward hopefully of i copy this and move quicker and longer explosion step can get me higher im using strength when i jump that's how i trained it doing strength training with barbell squats variations haven't really trained plyometrics
I just kinda air dunked for the first time today and I’m super close to dunking so I hope this helps Edit: this was before I watched the video

Got some advice for you bro, very basic but trust me. I'm 6'4 (since like 15) and could never quite dunk (skinny white guy 😂). Gave up basketball over lockdown and picked up going to the gym (22 y/o now) instead, now dunking is relatively easy for me with my legs being so much stronger and being able to generate that power as always been a two foot jumper. Squat, squat, squat is my advice and that vert' will blow up quick

Honestly, best advice is to jump higher to start! From there, focus on jumping up first. and then LEAN towards the rim in the air- that'll help speed up your windmill motion

@@focusblade1 BROTHER! I COULDNT DUNK 5 MINUTES AGO, NOW I LANDED A 360 WINDMILL FROM THE 3 POINT LINE OFF THE DRIBBLE WITH ONLY 2 STEPS TAKEN!
My problem is I start stuttering before jumping. It slows me down ALOT. How do I stop this. I also have problems with the technique. I should probably just train more. I’m 5’11 and my standing vert is the same as my running vert 💀. I can touch the rim from a standing jump.

A slower buildup , never start at full speed , and explode with that last step, whether you're a 1 footer or 2foot jumper
