I pray for you if you are a single dad trying to juggle a business, raising boys, and livestream vids to help others. Your plate is over full. Your vids do help tremendously. I never used a plug-in until you started introducing them. I would have never known how to utilize them without your guidance. So for what it’s worth, thank you for taking time for beginners like me.

Scott- As a person who has done an audio podcast for 4 years, and several years of KZread videos ( another channel) I understand your pain. I felt obligated too. I just wanted to let you know you have helped me move from paid streaming software (VMix, ECamm, VividCast, etc) to OBS. I was a career software developer and I am AMAZED at what the OBS team puts out and what you continue to show us on how to make OBS dance. Thank you Sir!

Scott - I totally support what you saying about describing an issue in enough detail so that the person trying to help you knows where to start. I am a software engineer and am constantly given support tickets that do not say much more than "It's broke! Go fix it". If you took your car to a mechanic and said "It's broke", what would the mechanic say? He/she would probably start with "what's broke?", "how long has it been that way?" You get the idea! Sending positive thoughts and affirmation that you are doing a great job and are appreciated more than you will ever know! You saved my bacon last Sunday with the solution to lower thirds not working after upgrading to 27.2! - David

I feel you 100% on this one sir; some of the most frustrating help requests are just "it doesn't work" ; there's not a lot to be done about that. Like you I want to be helpful, but in order to help people, they need to help you to help them. I'm actually currently in the planning stages of a "how to ask a question" video for this very reason :)

The Windows Audio Session API (WASAPI) enables client applications to manage the flow of audio data between the application and an audio endpoint device. Not to be confused with WASABI, which is a species of plant native to Japan. It belongs to the Brassicaceae family, like mustard and horseradish, and can be used in paste form as a condiment in Japanese cuisine, especially with sushi. But be careful, a simple spoon of WASABI can bring tears to the corner of your eyes.

I would just like a quick way after making a video in OBS, then moving it to da Vinci and cutting out the dead space. I find myself spending alot of time shrinking the videos when I pause and say "um". I know I could just plan my video and speech better but thats my biggest challenge. The other problem I have is hearing my voice louder in my headphones when browser is playing a video in OBS. I have watched numerous videos and just cant rattle an answer. I use Blackhole for my sounds as I have a Mac. Other than that, I enjoy your videos. You're much calmer and easier to pay attention to than other channels.

Thank you, Scott, for your great tutorials. I learned OBS just from your videos. Quick question - after the last update the lower thirds stopped working. I used your fix to get it working again. Now it works, but the on screen - off screen timer no longer seems to work correctly. Watching the countdown, it seems to be generating random numbers instead of counting down. Have you run into this? Thanks
