Scott, thanks for all your hard work. Feels like you are going down the right path here. Your quality is always top notch and I feel that many will find value in learning from you in new ways. I feel maybe a beginners course and maybe even a intermediate course on OBS would be some good options. To put it simply if you offer more paid services, then I think you will help more people and will make a better income. Great Job my man! I remember when you started. I had a young channel as well and we were about even on subs and such. Man You blew right by me! I am a full time carpenter and can not see myself doing this full time especially with the hours that creators have to spend making videos. For me it's doing the projects then editing, and like you at the rate i'm going i don't see it working out. I injured my shoulder and have had some family crises and haven't put a video out in almost two months. Sadly youtube seems to punish creators for this. Been thinking seriously about my next move. The money i do make seems to hurt me on my taxes more than helping my income. Great Job!

Scott, You need to do what you need to do in order to pay your bills my friend! I hope that I can stay with you on your journey. I'm not sure exactly what your new venture is, but if I have a need for it then I will follow you. Thank You for putting a face, a personality and a caring human being behind your tutorials and had given me some good advice too! I, too like to use Blender, but it's time consuming to learn it. Blender is like OBS as it's probably worth $600.00 or more, but it's FREE like OBS! I have done some playing around with the interface, but that is about it ALL THE BEST TO YOU!.

@@ScottFichter I just think it’s cool you are learning how to make stuff in Blender and showing us your work, plus giving them away. When you did the background videos, I grabbed them, and use those 80% of the time for my backgrounds and make borders from them. You have great digital artistic skills. I also wouldn’t of known about Davinci Resolve if you didn’t mention it. I now use it thanks to you. Have you ever thought about combining OBS tips into Davinci? i.e. setting up audio channels and how that DR will have those audio channels as separate tracks. Kinda of funny that yesterday I was thinking about your channel and last night it popped up in my notifications.

Hi Scott. I have been following you for two years now. I do enjoy all the knowledge you share with us and the time you invest to have the videos ready. Every time I see a guy like you, with family/kids/career, thrilling this path to online appearance, I always consider that KZread is not your first choice for money-making. I understand that your first choice is not doing well now, but I also do not see KZread willing to help streamers to make up a living. Scott, I suggest you going live, not just uploading. Maybe you can pre-record segments but present them LIVE every week. That way you can monetize with donations and answer any questions. I also suggest offering a 1-on-1 consultation service you can do using Zoom, to help people installing the specific plugin or maybe taking custom requests. Example, I have a couple of "css customizations" and a few other things that I'd be willing to pay for.

Scotty.... first of all... your channel is primo ... KZread really needs to do a better job to push your channel out to get more subs and views... it makes no sense to me how you aren't over 100k subs min. And for the quality of work you're putting out.. you really deserve to be bringing in some big pay days from KZread to take your mind off money so you can focus on quality content.. which you always bring! I'm not exactly sure I understand your plans.... or maybe because you're still keeping the cards close to the chest... but as far as live interaction tutorials... that can only be a good thing. I see NO problem with you branching out to other apps like blender... blender is no joke..... I put it on the backburner because it was tooo damn complicated .... but I also know that you're one of the reasons I've become an OBS Mavin.... I'm at the point where I can set up an insane custom Live Stream with all the bells and whistles from scratch in under 24 hours....not including the time to design masks, layouts ect.. point is...if you start doing blender tutorials... I'm sure you will do an amazing job....because you explain things VERY well......and always go step by step.....unlike others who rush through the details. ..which annoys the hell out of me... and I don't even bother coming back to a channel for another tutorial after they've proven they are not thorough. That's one thing about you that I personally appreciate.... you are thorough down to the most minute detail. I'm actually very curious to see what your plans are regarding the channel.... and what new paths you want to explore... I agree that there is a lot out there right now... even little things like Adobe Premier's new versions allowing your digital work to be externally encoded to be an Non-Fungible Token.. all kind of different directions you can explore... Keep us posted buddy... You are appreciated and I'm sure plenty of us are curious to see what you got in store..... oh and HELLUVA job on those subscribe buttons on blender!!

What is up Scott!!! I hear you on the Web, I'm a software engineer professionally so I get it and agree, and the same thing is happening in other facets of Software Engineering beyond web development. AdSense is BS, the best thing that has happened to me was Google disabled my AdSense, a year later I still don't know why but with no AdSense it has forced me to get serious with diversification. You can't survive on AdSense alone. Sounds like you are looking for some diversification yourself. Good luck to you Scott!

Consider using a third party program like www.chromacam.me/ I think Xsplit does it too. Melon is also killer.

Scott, do you know of plug-in or program that can be used with OBS that is "grid" that can be used to size and align camera shots? I like to use 2-3 different cameras on the same scene but have trouble getting the spacing to line up correctly. Thanks!

Nevin, YES.. I'm hearing strong arguments about how Discord is better than Facebook groups because Facebook does all this weird stuff with surfacing your comments when you make a post in your group. I'm not there yet. I have to work on some other stuff but it will happen. The group will be called "The Alliance of Video Excellence" Can you remind me of the video you want me to make for you?
