((Thanks for the upload)) I installed a Jet mass air flow sensor and immediately got the infamous CHECK ENGINE SOON after driving about 15 miles. This cleared it w/ no problem.

You’re a life saver bro my service engine soon light came on after fueling up because I accidentally didn’t tighten the fuel cap enough so i retightened my fuel cap then drove it a few km it didn’t go away did this method and it’s gone.didn’t know that you have to manually reset the check engine light on g35 coupe after fixing the problem.thanks a lot!

Thanks! You the man! Just worked perfectly on an Infiniti 2006 Infiniti M35 with 145K miles. 10mm socket to loosen the negative battery terminal... Saturday morning, I didn't securely replace the gas cap after filling the tank. By Saturday afternoon, I'm showing the dreaded "Service Engine Soon" light. I did the same thing about 5 years ago, and the dealership CHARGED me big bucks to "diagnose" the issue and to clear the error message.

This worked perfectly on my 2003 350Z. Thanks a lot!

Hey, I have the stall issue with Slip/VDC/SES dash lights. Code reader says it's CAM 1 & CAM 2 sensors. I removed the Codes but Service light comes back real quick. I will replace the sensors next week But for now I just wanted to remove the service/check engine light, I tried your method exactly how you described by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and pressing brake a few good times but it didn't remove the service light. I actually figured it out and I have to remove the negative terminal - pump brakes a few times - And then wait 1 hour, and that removed the light. So the 1 hr step is a must for my 2003 G35 coupe auto. Thanks for the info bro.

Tried to install ecotune(piece of garage!!) now car won’t start! Trying to reset ecu. If the tune is messed up I think we going to have to tow to Nissan to reflash ecu. Batteries are disconnected right now going to leave it that way for 20 mins and pray it starts. :(

Ron E .....Good question. No it does not. Resetting the ECU will not erase or mess up your tune.

Hi, I have a 2011 Nissan Fuga 370GT, model code Y51, known as the Infiniti m70 in the US. There is a slight hestation when I accelerate from a standstill, and after that the gears shift smoothly. However, if I do not press on the accelerator immediately but wait just a second after lifting my foot off the brake and then press on the accelerator, there is no hesitation at all. I have tried cleaning the throttle bodies and the MAF sensors, with no change at all. Is there any way to reset the transmission software without a trip to the dealer?

Do you happen to remember the lean code? I've been getting f the p1283 lean code so I replaced the exact same sensor as you and I cleared the code but it came back after 30 min test drive.. will this ecu reset work or does it do the exact same thing as resetting with my obd?

Would this procedure work for the airbag light that stays on?(it doesn't blink).

When you disconnected the battery did you have any problems with your stereo turning on? I was warned that the aftermarket radio might not turn on and that I'd need the security code to reset/restart the stereo.And I don't have the codes...and I don't want to take out the stereo to get to the code/serial number! Albert Avila ....what problems are you having? Is the car running ok? ....You can try an ECU reset but the tune will not be erased. Buying a new ECU is a waste of money. Just have your current ECU tune removed by a tuner for $150 and back to OEM. No need to buy a new ECU when your ECU still works.

Hi...I forgot to ask you. Cleaned my MAF Sensor-air dried, taken the throttle body off did a full clean, and replaced new gasket. Reset ecu, open/closed t-plate. I did all of this because of my Accelerator pedal, when I floored the gas pedal, I did not have the immediate response I had like couple months ago. Will it be possible you are able to help on this? Pedal sensor? Or does buying a brand new MAF sensor from Nissan help...not sure at this point. Thank you!

Heyy how’s it going , I had a hugge question. So I just replaced my radiator and my thermostat, instead of having an oem thermostat I got an after market racing thermostat. Cause it came with the kit mishmito. And I just got a check engine light and I think it’s the thermostat cause that the first time my car has ever done . I have an 2004 g35 coupe with 38k miles automatic.

I did the accelerator one where it blinks The blinks were 2, 11, 10, 3 But it's supposed to only go up to 10? A 10 is a 0. So what about 11 blinks?

Will this bring it back to the factory tune?

My g37 has a code and the code says that i have to reset my ecu would this method work also sometines it dont wanna turn on so by disconecting baterry and putting it back it makes it turn on u think it needs to reset or the ecu is bad?? Cus a while a go i reolaced a sensor called MAP Sensor

What if I did a engine swap for the same de revup and the car don’t start I believe it’s a ecu problem

I recently swapped out the motor and transmission on my 06 g35 sedan to another one from the same year and it turned right on but whenever I hit the gas pedal it's non responsive the rpms don't rise higher or anything do you know what it could be I tried resetting everything on the car still nothing.

The car threw a code about a wk after install and i reset after seeing this video. About a wk later the code returned. Did a diagnostic and it is reading P2A00. Was wondering if I should purchase new sensors or check for exhaust leaks. The exhaust note is awesome but that "check engine soon" light is annoying!! Appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Congrats on the best setup! I need to make a video on this. You can NOT remove your CATs without a tune. The ECU reset does nothing and the code will keep coming back. You have introduced too much air into the system and the ECU is unable to compensate enough fuel; therefore, making a lean condition which is unsafe for your motor. On a 370z, the ecu can do this without a tune. Do not be driving around flooring it. Unfortunately, on a 350z or G35, once the CATs are removed you have to get a tune.

Trumpet lol.... hay what would you do if you put all new exhaust on headers back and get a PA200 check engine light on. Even after you reset ECU and changed out the upstream sensors 3x but have to make a splice extensions to make it work on long tubes. I'm not buying anymore sensors and they dont make a extensions for my car which is a 2006 350z made late december so it really a 2007

Yes correct but after you pump the brakes you need to put a jumper wire between positive and negative when you disconnect both terminals off the battery there's residual voltage even pumping the brakes I've done this to my Infiniti and the proper reset procedure is to jump positive and negative by disconnecting both terminals off the battery

Does this fix vdc slip abs lights coming on?

Question for ya, I got my Service engine soon light off with the pedal method and its stayed off but I'm still having the code throw from the obd port (p0603_Permanent). Car runs great and I havent tried to drain my Ecu residual voltages yet and reconnect. The car also needed some new battery terminals because they were toast (rust). Let me know what other tips to maybe try if that doesnt work.

What did you figure out with this issue.. ive got the same after disconnecting the neg terminal to do a brake bleed. My vdc off, BRAKE, and Slip light are on and throwing p0603.

Will this remove abs, slip and vdc off lights that comes on? I got my car checked from the mechanic because those light turned on when i got new tyres on my rear side of the car. They lit up straight after putting new tyres as soon as i left the tyre shop. The mechanic's computer thing shows no problem with the car. We don't know why it's lighting up. Checked all the fuses and they're all good.

Did you not look at the diagram? It is number 12 on the diagram is the coupler you asking for alone. Call the number if you want the dimensions.

What did the guy say who installed your engine? I doubt it, the ECU is not dumb. It is always learning, but keeping things within spec that it is programmed to do. If the engine is still OEM without a lot of mods, the answer should be no, you do not need to go to the dealership.

After unplugging the negative battery cable. You pump the brakes to discharge the capacitors. Yes, then you would plug the negative battery cable back on.

Did you touch the butterfly in the throttle body while cleaning it? Anytime you move or touch the butterfly in the TB, you will have to do the idle relearn. Yes, my idle relearn video works for a 370z.

Changing your filters has nothing to do with it. That would just be a coincidence your idle went bad at the same time.

Worked for me would putting. Wrong gas. Plus not premium. Give me a too lean code I put octane booster in. To try to balance, and. It’s smooth out because it was running rough, but then got in and check light.

I cleaned my throttle body on my 2004 G35x and when I turned the car on the check engine, vdc, and slip light were on. Tried all the ECU reset procedures but still no luck

Motordyne G35, I just had this happen to me on my 2003 350z. the plastic stopper behind the brake switch broke off. I bought a new brake switch before I noticed that the stopper behind it had broken off. I was able to keep it In the hole with gorilla glue, but it is not flush because there's a piece missing. now the car drives as if the brakes are activated, stopping the car until the car just stops moving. any suggestions? thanks

Let me guess. P1283 Code for Sensor 1 Bank 2 O2? Smh. Yeah after a few breather mods and an exhaust installation I threw that one. Instead of disconnecting the battery I just went ahead and purchased an Autel Autolink and cleared it via push of a button. Interesting enough when you use Seafoam in the crank case and in the fuel tank after clearing the code? It doesn't show up anymore UNLESS you are driving under 2800 rpm for 5-10 minutes. It's weird but then again a tune will fix the issue permanently.

Dude, my check engine light on my 04 G35 has been on for a while. I finally bought a car code diagnostic computer. It read that it was the oxygen sensor bank 1, bank 2 etc. So I replaced all four of them. Then I turned on the car and the check engine light was still on. I plugged the computer and the same four sensors kept coming up. I tried deleting the codes and the light turned off for 3 seconds and then it came back on. Then I tried your trick with the battery and pressing the peddle. The check engine light turned off, a couple of seconds passed by and thought I had finally fixed it. Then 20 seconds passed by and it came back on Check engine...I give up. The car runs great but I can't get my plate stickers without passing the a smog check.

Those are not the codes I received when my o2 sensors failed on me, you seem to actually have a bad connection where a cord has been cut or a wire has rubbed on something to rub through and create short circuit. The codes I received when I replaced my front 2 o2 sensors which control the A/F ratio are: Found: 2 codes! ******** P1283,A/F Sensor Lean shift (Bank 2 Sensor 1) ******** P1273,A/F Sensor Lean shift (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Do you see any problems with connections?

Oh, and 1 more thing. Turning off your “service engine soon” light this way, will NOT fix the issue that caused the light to come on in the first place. I can’t stress that enough. CLEARING THE LIGHT DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE!!! This one guy kept clearing his light Bc he had a code reader...., or he may have shmoozed an Auto Zone employee and used theirs.... I can’t remember. But he kept clearing the light because who wants to stare at a service engine soon light all the time. Get this......., the code kept coming up that he was running LEAN??!?! He was like, I know I’m not running lean and he kept on clearing it. Until..... he found out the code was ACTUALLY for a bad O2 Sensor!!! 😲 His Car has 2, no, FOUR O2 sensors so I wanted to make sure to tell you that disconnecting the battery cable to clear the light will NOT fix the issue that caused the light to come on. So I just wanted to ‘clear’ up that common misconception. Oh, sorry..... 2 more things. 1. Eating a lot of junk food and not exercising will cause weight gain. 2. When you breathe in, make sure to also breathe out.
