when people ask me why you workout i say i want to be healthy or i want to look good or its good for your mental health but if i been honest! i workout for two reason: the habit and i feel good after i'm done working out!

excellent advice. i like how you clarified @ 9:55 that advanced people shouldn't do the same routine every day. my first karate instructor trained in okinawa with shorin ryu master eizo shimabuku who told him "do a little bit this, little bit that". my instructor trained and taught about 10 hours/day 5 1/2 days/week. yes, a beginner needs to build the habit. i'm 69 and have trained without breaks except for illness, or when i had a demanding physical labor job since age 14.

That's true, it takes time to be good at anything. You just have to be patient. And in the beginning what yu want to do is hard and take time. But through repetition and continuing to practice, you'll get better at it and becomes easier the more you do it. It just takes time, and nothing easy ever comes over night :)

I used to workout regularly and was in really good shape for most of my life. However, I let myself go in the past couple of years and tried to get back into it but after a few days, I would either be too sore or too worn out to continue. Now I realize i've been spreading myself way too thin by trying to do everything all at once. Going to take your advice and start small like 10 mins a day but I have to stick with it.

I totally agree with you. As a Muslim who prays 5 times a day, this makes absolutely perfect sense. Thanks for the needed clarity. Now, I know that Allah gave us this habit of prayer and meditation with his blessings and this habit building process is a blessing all in itself. Best of all, you may even live a much better tree eternal life which is billions of times better than this fleeting experience we call life on earth. I don't think it ends here. What do you think?

im giggling so much when you say such simple stuff, its so funny (in a good way) show up, get the habit of showing up the part about reliving past anguish / memories - thank you so much. I experienced PTSD and I keep looping back around to it, like I have progressed and passed it out, though I have been doing what you spoke of, and it has brought me back to or regressed me to previous milestones. When the thoughts come up I have a tendency to humour them, and as I have a vivd imagination, its as if im living them again, which then detracts from the mental state I need to be happy. When this happens it also with that means i have to rebuild myself to where i was (minutes, hours days, weeks sometimes). Do you have any suggestions related to counter acting triggers to bridge you away from there and back to the state you were in before being triggered ?

Well I didn't reach my fitness goals even after years of trying, failing, quitting, laying it off & going for it again & again. I train right now daily but I can't stick to one thing consistently. Program-hopping is a serious thing for me that is destroying my progress with every program I did. I build the habit of exercising daily like you said but always "new routines" fuck me honestly up...it's so stressful! I got on my computer +50 workout programs that I bought over the years.

Anyway sorry. Where do you start when you have let yourself go so long? You are WAY out of shape basically obese to fit. What is a good first building block. Build the habit doing what first recommendation? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for all you do!

Need some advice here. I get what he is saying. 80/20 rule. Tackle the habit and core exercise routine first and you are 80% there, then once established some focus can be directed to other exercises for that extra 20%. The problem I have is that I fear that when I reach that 80% level, I will destroy my habit as I start focussing too much on the details of that extra 20%. Wouldn't it make sense to know what that extra 20% is first through research? If you don't recommend this could you explain this further through a good example please. Also, what would you say about having several different fitness habits established during the day, for example a routine which is like: 7am - 8 am - Yoga 12pm - 1pm - HIIT 7pm - 9pm - Sport x 3 days per week / Rest & Massage x 2 days a week/ Heavy Compound Exercise x 2 days a week Would this be too difficult to establish or is the point of the video not to get caught up in the details of each individual practice and JUST DO IT and that it is ok to have several practices established? Or would you say if one is new to each of the practices that they should master each one at a time. A routine more like below: Do Yoga until mastered: 7am - 8 am - Yoga 12pm - 1pm - Yoga 7pm - 9pm - Sport x 3 days per week / Rest & Massage x 2 days a week/ Yoga x 2 days a week Then do HIIT until mastered: 7am - 8 am - HIIT routine 12pm - 1pm - HIIT routine 7pm - 9pm - Sport x 3 days per week / Rest & Massage x 2 days a week/ HIIT routine x 2 days a week Then do Heavy Compound Exercise until mastered: 7am - 8 am - Heavy Compound Exercise 12pm - 1pm - Heavy Compound Exercise 7pm - 9pm - Sport x 3 days per week / Rest & Massage x 2 days a week/ Heavy Compound Exercise x 2 days a week I see the advantage of this method is that I am less likely to procrastinate and look for different routines. However the disadvantage I can foresee is that I will not be satisfied with my progress and will struggle to move on to another practice until I feel I'm really good at it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok so confusing for me, so I should be doing basic exercise first, like regular push-ups, regular side-straddle hop and not to incorporate variations of those.. until I become great at those basics ones. I hate doing push-ups, yes they are so hard for me...

Or does it NOT train this stabilizer? Oh I feel that constant strain in my lower back I can't lift heavy! Weight this exercises work maybe? Or not? Can I do that consistently? Should I do fullbody or split? But he does upper/lower maybe I... ... Every f#cking time 😤😤😤 ... F#ck that shit!!!!
