I got told the rhyme so many times and still got it wrong!!

I remember as a child reading about the narrow boats in England and always thought it would be wonderful to live on one. I am now 67 and know it will never happen. I live in Australia and doubt I will ever get to England with covid. So I will enjoy myself through your travels. Dennyse, Australia

So envious if your splendid boat. We recently sold ours. It was built in 1983 abd ' the old girl' needed so, so much work doing at it that, in the end, it was crushing our spirits. The joy departed and it felt like a millstone. Anyway the very young couple that bought it at a snip have done wonders with it to make it their home. We know we made the right decision, but when I watch videos like yours I remember the joys of being afloat. Oh well.......we're blessed with beautiful memories of wonderful experiences. Wishing you both well xx

Never had a boat but I've always liked the idea of a reverse layout. I nearly bought a boat 18 years ago to live on when I worked in Solihull but never did and regretted it ever since.

Five months on now and autumn has truly arrived. The bird song is so different but still beautiful.

Smashing boat! And it's good to have the virtues of a big sink explained. Fran, if you really want to be confident with the engine, you ought to try a short course rather than rely on books. To power your washing machine, you could have extra solar, and possibly another battery or two. This extra up-front expense eventually saves you money in fuel, and also of course helps the planet. (I love helping the planet.)

Great news on the mooring, ive noticed, often nice things happen to nice people. 😊 👍

I feel they have more space than a tiny home as well, maybe not in square feet but at least in perception. I would definitely prefer this to a tiny home.

Now that is something I could live on. I love being on or near the water. Unfortunately the US doesn't have canal systems like the UK. I think a canal boat would be safer than an RV. So happy I found your vlog. It's going to be fun virtually traveling with you. Carol from New Jersey.

We love the idea of an RV and think we may try it some day. I think the living in a small space is similar but not sure which is safer.

Great. We have a reverse layout. Much nicer having the kitchen at the stern. And the bedroom seems more private. I was wondering about your lovely dresser and if you made room for it. I did love that. On a contemporary boat it is a little more difficult to give it character. But slowly we are adding our bits. But like yours it’s very light and airy. Xxx

We are on the Thames at the moment. Trailing our way back from the K&A towards Braunston and have our boat blacked at Calcutta boats. It seems the are one of few who let you stay on board. X
