I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You two have the cleanest, ship shape Narrowboat on the British canals. If Good House Keeping Magazine overed Narrowboats I had no doubt that Silver Fox would be on its cover. As always, a very enjoyable vlog by the Foxy Twins.

We all agree with Pegleg. Many years ago i was a world history teacher and i just love your historical linformation . My field of intensive study was Asia, Africa,Middleast, Central and south America..the only part of U.K.history that i covered was the rise of democracy and colonization...so this gives me more "personal " knowledge of the history of the island. I look forward to the segment that you talk about the people and industry.

Silver Fox is absolutely immaculate and a credit to you for the design and the diligence in keeping it in such great shape.

When I was a kid Everytime I saw a picture or a movie set in the UK. It was always raining and foggy. But now Everytime I tune in to your show or any other British tv program it always seems sunny and beautiful . I'm 57 so I'm going back to the late 60 s , this may be a stupid question but tell what gives.

The British/Irish archipelago is set at the meeting place of two main weather systems, which gives a lot of variable weather. One from Siberia, that brings the winter cold as the wind comes towards us before turning south through the Netherlands and France. Glad it stops as we don't get a lot of sub zero temperatures, especially on the Irish side. The other comes from the Gulf of Mexico, up the east coast of America and across the North Atlantic. We're on a similar latitude to Canada but the Gulf stream in the ocean keeps us nicely warm most of the time. Brings lots of rain with it which is what we complain about. The old film industry used the atmospheric vibes the rain brings. Like the lads said, now we run outside to make the most of 5 minutes sunshine.

Love the boat, inside and out. My only change would be bright cushions and bedding for my tastes. Perfect. I notice you haven't bothered putting art on the walls. Yes, lovely views are better, but you can't see them well after dark.

Happy anniversary! We are glued my husband and two children. The ups and downs of life afloat. I grew up around many canals (open and disused) and my husband has ended up working for Scottish canals. It’s so interesting about the inside of the narrow boat! I’m a foreigner and in my country there are not many canals and beautiful narrow boats, maybe next time when I travel to UK, I shall try it for some time! Thank you for your awesome introduction about the silver fox again! ❤

Your narrow boat is perfectly perfect, you have managed to have exactly hit the nail on the head, you have excellent taste and the finish of what you have managed to do is perfect I know you have put a lot of hard work and thought into you project and it shows in all the right ways. If you don't mind can you tell us a ball park figure of your budget, because I'm very interested in doing pretty much the same project with the same results and it would be a great help to me and I would like advice as to where would be the best places to do business with. Well, chaps, that was the most enjoyable tour of someone's house I've ever had (and I've had a few, but we won't go there ha ha) My "takaways" are, a) What lovely people you are and I'm betting many a dinner party has spent all of it in laughter and soup gets spilled.....; b) how immaculate is your boat; d) what happened to c? c) (oh, here it is) Solid Oak looks fabulous and I want some - I'm just thinking what items of furniture I can throw out and replace... (just kidding - I couldn't afford a leg of a table probably); d) are you playing City Skylines? e) What was that about the shower ha ha ha ha Really heartwarming and entertaining - and if I ever get a narrowboat, all the very best tips have just been passed. I don't know who does what, but it clearly works! And to have changed ONE thing after a year of off-grid living speaks volumes of your preparation, and the excellent help you had from Bickerstaffe. This narrowboat is just lovely. For years I've watched so many videos about narrowboat living on u tube. There are only 2 others besides this one that I fell in love with though. The two filming are a really great couple ( they were fun to listen to because of their humor). I enjoyed the sharing of their home with us.
