I have sailed from medway to france down to channel islands up to Holland, right round uk and round Ireland over English channel at least twice a year sadly now am blind so had the hang my life jacket up. Love listening to you boys keep up the good work and enjoying your lifes

Last month I discovered the SV Delos videos - brothers sailing around the world - caught up on 7 years worth of videos and now only get 1 new one a week. Then I found you guys!!! Yay! I love your humor and honesty - it's not all ice cream and rainbows, but you get through it. Loved all the bits about building the boat and now, I am so enjoying cruising up and down the canals with you. Very much enjoyed your volg. I was also in the Navy and spent many years running tug boats on the San Francisco Bay. I grew up around the California Delta and spent a great amount of time running up all slough, rivers and small creeks as far the water level would allow. The brook brought back those great memories. The Lancaster is a nice canal, some of the scenery north of Garstang is as nice as anywhere. Especially around Forton. Thanks for sharing.

That was brilliant. Great footage. Well worth the 26 minutes viewing. That’s what you call narrowboating. No news regarding scratches is good news too. Seems your trip on the Ribble went smoother than the Counry House Gents. At least you didn’t have to be towed to the Lancaster canal. Power of Silver Fox.

More than anything it shows how perfectly suited to the canals narrowboats are. And how vulnerable narrowboats are in streams with strong currents, large tides and variable winds. Full credit to CRC and their hand working volunteers looking after everyone. Thanks for the brochure from the CRC. It is very clearly set out.

What a great vlog . You guys are great. BTW this old preacher has actually said a prayer or two for you and your journeys since I started following your posts; both for safe travel and gratitude for the lives you are sharing with the rest of us. My own new adventure will be in August as I solo drive/camp my way from Maine to Alaska and north beyond the Arctic Circle. When that trip is complete I will have been in all 50 states and all Canadian provinces. I did once spend a Summer in your land at Oxford U. Loved my time there.

I've just come back from me hols so I've watched 49 and 50 back to back, around an hour of pure escapism and entertainment. I love the choice of thumbnail for 49, my eyebrows raised when I saw it and it didn't disappoint - what an adventure you had. This vlog was just of good. Two vlogs in a row that show cruising canals is not all chugging pounds between locks but a narrow boaters life is full of variety. I never knew you had to rely on CRT volunteers so much. Have you considered laying on some Silver Fox charm and persuading one to give you a lengthy interview? That would be very interesting. Yet again, another (two) fantastic vlogs, thanks for sharing to both of you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a Preston lad, I remember watching the ships coming up the river when the docks were working. Several thousand tons some of them, so no wonder you felt small in your little boat. I also lived in Hesketh Bank. Didn't even know there was a canal near there! The Douglas was always a muddy, shallow creek when I saw it. I used to fish on the Lancaster canal, and didn't know you could access the Ribble from it. All in all, I've learned something from this. Great video. Thanks.
