Here are my top three favorite Jack Handey Deep Thoughts ... as I remember them from my childhood. I did not look them up again to see if I'm remembering them perfectly. Three.
If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? Probably, if they screamed all the time for no good reason.
Two, if you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, don't jump in after them. Because man, they're gone.
And my number one favorite Jack Handey Deep Thought of all time, the face of a child can say so much, especially the mouth part of the face. Really makes you think, doesn't it?
What was your favorite Jack Handey Deep Thought back in the day?

The lava and keys is one of my favorites. Another is, "The crows seemed to be calling his name, thought Caw."
my fave is: "all my life i've been afraid of clowns. I think it goes back to my 8th birthday, when a clown killed my dad."

Before judging walk a mile in their shoes that way you have their shoes and you are already a mile away!! Lolz
The mouth part!
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.
