I encourage everyone to watch The Case for Christ. If there was a 1% chance it’s true it would be worth to look into. Not judging it off of the fake churches and followers, but really looking into the claims of Christ and what he said. Every religion honors Jesus is some way, so it’s worth looking into.
100%. Many years ago I decided that putting energy in TRYING to find a boyfriend wasn't worth my time. Because any time I talked about not wanting to spend my time dating, people would be like 'Aren't you afraid you'll die alone?' And they rarely had any other angle. I was in my early 20s then and was like 'Okay, so i could spend a large amount of my time in my 20s and 30s trying to find a date so I dont die alone.... Or I can enjoy my time and spend it doing other things. And when I'm almost dead I can worry about how I feel about it then.' And if I change my mind sometime between then and now... Its not a permanent choice. If my values change over time, then I pick it up at that point. Easy peasy.
And I'm not working a 'I found the love of my life just doing activities I enjoy' angle because that's not happened and that's fine. I surely have more good, close friends than most US adults in their mid 30s, though. And I didn't meet any of them at work.
If I were brought up in a ‘works for salvation’ environment, I’d feel the same. Thankfully, we are saved by simply believing that Jesus, the son of God, died for our sins then rose from the dead. That’s what I trust in, not Calvinistic systems.

Non existence is not to be feared but to be achieved. Life brings evil and suffering. Well there are good moments too but everything is temporary.

We Christian’s are Hippocrates and im sorry if you had an experience that lead you away from the lord but if your struggling with truth I would recomend looking at the evedence and not the people And don’t go into it assuming god is true or that he is false go with an open mind and I’m sure you’ll find the truth. Evedence I would recomend -Moral argument -Cosmological argument -Fine tuning of the universe -Accounts of the resurrection Inspiring philosophy has a lot of good work on these topics if you want a source. I know this is all Christian info I’m just giving what convinced me

Except for this realization of nothing will only offer peace temporarily. Unfortunately you will drift from one realization to the next, peace will always be temporary outside of Christ. I lived 30 years like this. Now my peace surpasses my understanding. I’m still in awe of God and His salvation plan everyday. I pray you too will find this peace that lasts in Christ.

Well, I mean, you said it. Even now there's tons of footage to refer to. Most of us realized just how idiosyncratic he is just by watching and listening to him talk in the media. People might have to go back and review the tapes, as it were, but finding a way to portray someone who's essentially already a cartoon character shouldn't be that hard.
It's just easier to criticize Christianity. And there's no real threat when you do it. This way you get your likes and subs the easy way. That makes you a p****. 😂
My research mentor asked me if I wanted to have kids. When I said yes he told me to start reading parenting books because he said that the best time to learn how to parent is when you're NOT yet a parent. So I did. Reading parenting books made me realize that I don't have the mental space, selflessness and resources to become the parent my children deserve. I'm child free at 39. What I have now instead is something few people get to experience: a life completely my own.

I'm a naturalist, and I believe I ultimately came from a series of natural processes and elements. Nothing beyond that. Religious folks tend to believe there is somehow something that exists outside of nature that created it and everything within it. Now, if God 'exists', it immediately gets pulled under the umbrella of nature and should, one day at least, become quantifiable. If it somehow exists outside of nature, then the question of its 'existence' is essentially moot. To us, as far as we're concerned, it doesn't exist, and we should really ask ourselves what we mean by 'existence' in the 1st place.

Your logic is circular, just like the only Bible peoples are circular. God is real. therefore, the Bible is true. God is not real. therefore, the Bible is made up. You need more than preconceived ideas to back up your claims. The Bible may be a true account of the Son of God's life it may not be. But you can't claim your opinion on the matter is true because your opinion on the matter is true.

I don't have or want kids, but to say it ends suffering is silly. Life is beautiful, even the small things. I did not have kids because of the poor earth trying to breath and the extinction of animals because we are taking over.
