Really glad you are back Mr. C.S. Honestly I was a bit devastated when your channel disappeared. There were several of your videos I’d refer back to when thinking about a next purchase or to understand a certain last. Hope you have a blessed New Year.

Thank you. I have another channel that is very unrelated, but I decided it was okay to keep both channels.

You, by far are the best at boot reviews. Don't stop that's an order. I'm a boot nerd with over 20 pairs, some were bought after watching your indepth and honest reviews. I purchased the Edward boot in minerva after watching your review, a complete home run, also a bit the bullet on a pair of ALDENS and I must say they are the most comfortable boots in my collection. You have knowledge the needs to be shared, this hobby is growing fast, new companies emerging and making a informed purchase is welcoming. I have a pair of Caswells in Bison, I found them to be true to 'B' size, but the tounge is a little short, and are more longer and bullbious at the toe. I seem to be a little disapointed for I WAITED A LONG TIME for the restock. ALSO , I wish Kevin much well deserved attention for starting a boot company. The boots are a bargain, I'm going to put them in the rotation again, Kevin and you deserve the respect. I'll wait for more content, thank you very much for what you do so well.

Thank you for the kind words. I disagree I am the best, but thank you. Also, very pleased to hear that you tried some of the suggestions I made. All of those boots you mention are great options. I still have all of them too.

I have to agree Chalkboard your Edward Minerva review was perfect. Your style of speaking is very calming and well-thought out. Really get a feel what you’re reviewing. I think all the B-roll pictures are underrated but really add to the style of your videos.

@@aradoran Thanks! Some people say I talk too slow and not "excited" enough. :D. The reason I do use a lot of images instead of video is just because it often looks better to my eye. My camera is 4K, but doesn't always capture what I want.

I like the use of the phrase efficient last. I've found that for me it's the RM William, and the 55 lasts. I look down at the boot and wonder how my foot comfortably fits. The boot looks small.

I eventually want to try RM William boots. Just haven't found the right model yet.

Great review. I found it pretty spot on, owning the same boots. I think Kevin smashed it out of the park with this GMTO!

@@chalkboardshoesNot really. I even tried different laces too. I wear 11D in AE 1757 and GS Leo. I bought these in 11.5D and they fit great with thick boot socks. I have a pair of Lisbon I in black CXL in 11D, and they fit great with standard dress socks. BL, this last does run more TTS (Brannock) than many boot companies that run a half size big.

@@chalkboardshoes The only thing I'd change on these would be to go back to the closer lacing system on the original Lisbon design. I think it worked better with this sleek, dressy last. That could just be my preference though, seeing as I wear my Lisbon I black CXL and Lisbon II olive CXL boots with sport coats for office casual and with suits for Sunday preaching. Others may prefer the more casual Lisbon II wider lacing system for wearing the boots with jeans or chinos. I have these olive boots on today at the office, and they feel great! I love what you said about the last and fit being very efficient. I concur - the last fits the shape of my feet wonderfully!

@@timgeist1450 I just now saw this comment. I recently ordered a waxed olive Lisbon and the lacing gap closes a lot better than on the pair in this video. I will show this in a future video. Did Caswell change the lacing to be wider on some boots? I'm with you in that I prefer a smaller lacing gap.

@@chalkboardshoes Yes, there were changes Kevin made between the original Lisbon model and the Lisbon II. One difference was the wider lacing system, in response to customer feedback. But the olive CXL and olive waxed flesh should have had the same cutting patterns, both being the Lisbon II.

Oh really? I guess mine were okay with the tongue. I sometimes wish it had piping all around the lacing area though.
