Blujay12 "Quench" means to satisfy _by drinking_ . Hungry-faced Gil, though quenched of thirst, would still be hungry-faced.

If anyone's curious, the Dancer of the Boreal Valley was a young noblewoman who was forced to become a court dancer then a warped, monstrous knight. She's a fairly tragic figure.
