Of course the game did self destruct in the woods so getting through that area might not have been feasible either. From where they were, they could have gone and fought the Dragonslayer Armor and that's about it

He is always hungry, but starvation cannot kill him. He cannot hit a foe weakly enough for any morsels to remain that he could eat. Also his game crashes a lot.

Ugh, their laughter is so healing

Just to clear up some things about Consumed King Oceiros for those who haven’t played the game, the little crystal lizard was not the boss. That’s a regular (but rare) enemy, whose body you see in a couple shots so they did try killing it. Oceiros _is_ the one and only dragon man that they kill, but he is, however, a two-phase boss, and so my best guess is that the transition from phase one to two is where the game messes up. You see them wait for him to transform, but even after that it’s still glitched. All in all I just don’t think there was a right answer on this one, short of un-hacking the game and playing the fight straight.

They're probably doing so much damage that they bypass the trigger for him to switch phases. It happens a lot when damage comes faster than the designer anticipated.

Probably, which is weird, because they completely broke the Rotted Greatwood fight and the stage still progressed. Likely the stage and boss triggers are just different flags.

@@JCBaggee I actually did a run of that boss where I never broke all his sacks and thus never triggered the stage breaking. After he died the stage broke as it did in this video.

The boss being a tiny crystal lizard that disappears, leaving a fake, much tougher looking boss behind, is such Actual Dark Souls Shit that I’m kind of blown away it happened.

This is the monster factory I come & rewatch every couple of months. Hungry faced gil was probably the funniest three episodes of the whole series to me. I miss him

I love how genuinely hype Justin and Griffin get over the kaiju battle

I do believe that giant wing is a pilgrim butterfly! they’re background noise for the dragonslayer armor

I’m going away to college tomorrow and I was so stressed and nervous it was making me sick and I couldn’t think of anything to do to feel better. Then I saw a new Monster Factory had been uploaded and it made me laugh so hard my eyes watered. From my whole heart thank you McElboys you literally always succeed in making me feel 1000% better you got me through high school and I’m now positive you’ll get me through college.

Bless you, Clayton, for this editing we are about to observe. And I'm sorry to see that Gil's journey ends here. It's not fair, but I'll just be grateful for the time we shared.

I don't think Griffin is very familiar with dark souls...

I have a possible explanation of what happened with Desire King Oshiro: In the previous boss fights, Gil had killed the bosses before he had gotten to them (except for the stink-tree, but that probably wasn't put in as a random enemy). When he triggered the bosses to spawn again, there was only ONE of them on the map. For Oshiro, Gil probably just didn't find the actual boss wandering around the map. When the fight was triggered, the health bar linked to the wandering Oshiro that already existed, which was outside the map. GIL CAN STILL DO IT YOU JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE

Every McElroy fan gets a dopamine rush every time a new episode of Monster Factory gets uploaded

The funniest part is that Oceiros isnt even mandatory

This was definitely the best Monster Factory series yet, but I am very salty they didn‘t kill the little Crystal Lizard because that was definitely the boss

The enemies are randomised too, so it was very highly likely that the boss was actually the tiny crystal lizard in the middle of the map... The problem with those little critters is that if you aggro them and not kill them, they burrow into the ground and disappear, and not die....
