I have the remote on a lanyard that’s tied around the grab handle on the passenger side of the dash, it then tucks into the glove box :)

Be a bit light when pulling against mud. A pulley doubled back to the truck would probably fix that issue tho

Definitely recommend the hard wired back up plan, it's saved my arse more than once. I made sure to set it up on my trailers too. Really loving this build.

On-Off-On switch you mean? I recently learnt they are actually called SPDT switches (single pole double throw).

@@vinzenzgeske8987 Make sure they are "momentary" as well. It means it doesn't click and stay in position, only operates when held in position.

Benny, I recommend figuring out a way to lock that plate up rather than relying on the friction of the hinge. You can never predict what might happen out in the bush, but damaging your handiwork because the plate tipped down into the moving cable would be a shame.

Considering how small and cheap they are have you considered a rear winch? Sometimes its better to go backwards than forwards

Yeah 100%. I have a tow bar coming so was planning on making a removable unit that slips into the 50mm receiver.
