Installing a 1.5" lift on a 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Kind of a "budget" lift kit I put together for my Pajero mini. It could be done cheaper by flipping the front upper strut mount, but that would be more lift that I was going for with only 29" tires.

Nice one brother... Did you have to use hub spaces to get clearance for the front brake calipers and if so what ones are you running?

Nice work man. I noticed your pajero mini has the stock side step/rock sliders… are they pretty stout or purely cosmetic? I’m curious if they break easily

I would say they're purely cosmetic, it has all the Ralliart package extras that came on these and the only thing that is actually functional is the aluminum skid plate up front.

I'm really wondering if the brake calipers are different between the Mini and the Junior. I got 15x8 Vision D rims in +6 and they just won't work as is in the front on my Junior. I'll have to put in 10mm spacers just so it clears the calipers. Did you have any issue on that front? I can't believe the 12mm difference in offset would make that much of a difference?

I didn't notice if it was that close, they just went on without out issue. Next time I have it on the lift, I will check how close the clearance is and let you know.

Do you think these wheels will do good at long term? Heard they are heavy and may cause premature wear on some drivetrain components. I love how it looks and want to buy them but have that in the back of my mind.

They are a bit heavy compared to the factory wheel, but people(including me) of done this kind of upgrade to Suzuki Samurai(Jimny) for 30+ years without issues. We used to put 33x12.50's on heavy steel wheels and off-road them pretty hard. The PJ mini is built like a tank for a Kei car, I really don't see it causing of an issue besides maybe putting a little more wear or brake linings...
