I was honestly trying to think of a way that this wouldn't be creepy and I thought, "What if he censored their faces?" then I remembered that's what they do to pictures of corpses so that wouldn't be good either

I would say maybe gently wake them up and ask them if it would be ok to use their photo in a project

Real talk though I think censoring the faces does make it legal, since you never got their consent

as someone who has had more than 6 five hour energies in one sitting. I can assure everyone that kicking the sun is possible, and the time of the energy actually decreases. like 800% energy for 3 hours about

I do think that if you wanted pods that would provide private sleeping areas that "otherwise pervs will take pictures of people while they are sleeping" might actually be a strong argument.

I’d be happy if the benches at my college would get rid of the stupid bars across the middle. If you’re tired at college, you have to sleep on the grass with the ants, I guess.

Gotta say, as a fine arts major, I took so many fuckin naps in the lounges and sometimes the studios. There was always someone sleeping somewhere on campus. Especially during finals, people would show up with a pillow and a blanket and just kind of go comatose for thirty minutes. It's a thing.

Idea: have something like this for homeless people where they exchange a soda can for a night in a capsule and you collect the cans and recycle them and use the recycle money to cover costs that way people can drop off cans and not even put them in the machine and it saves them effort, better for the environment than them tossing them, and you can money to help homeless people!

not gonna lie, until like 4 minutes in i 100% thought they were referring to like, serotonin pills or fucking roofies when they said "sleep capsules", and this whole situation was like 1000x more fucked up. i'm glad i'm wrong but i dont really like the alternative much more

I took a picture of a guy sleeping in a library once, sort of by mistake, since I was trying to photograph a section of the bookshelf so I could remember where it was, and then afterward I realized there was a sleeping guy in a chair in part of the photo.

On the real though, the law varies state by state and what the photos are used for. In some states, it is illegal to take a photo of a person without their consent and distributing it. However, if you can hide their face and anything other identifying features, its okay.

"I've just come out of the sleep energon" ok but did this come out before or after Sawbones did the Orgone episode? Because if it was before I have some questions about the movies Griffin saw in college because I think they might be the same as the movies I saw in college.

Depends on your area. In most parts of the US, if you’re both on public property or certain government property (think public library, not court room) then it’s completely legal to take photos or record someone without their express consent This is why dash cams are legal, why you can record in a public park, why paparazzi don’t go to jail for taking pictures of celebrities walking down the street, etc. This is also why you can legally record a cop if they pull you over, and why they legally have no power to make you stop recording them unless they arrest you

Even in the homelessness joke, I feel like it’s not super mean spirited. The joke is a meant to be a fallacious, bougie misconception of how homeless people actual live. Still because it goes unchallenged by the others, it can be seen as just normalizing stereotypes
