9:07 Fun Fact for our boy Griffin. Swords are now legal to open carry in Texas!!! So he could do exactly that.

The best thing about this is that the question asker could just buy two swords for like a total of 90 bucks and it would be easier and more inexpensive than making a couple yourself.

Cursory Google says that katanas are the cheapest functional swords with the cheapest being around $129. There's a briquet sword for $122.90, but most functional swords in the first page are katanas that average around $300, and two of the western swords out of five were more than a thousand dollars.

Hey guys, this fool wants to make swords so him and his buddy can swing them at each other. I think the premise of it being a "proper" sword went out the window the moment these guys wanted to FIGHT WITH SWORDS AGAINST ONE ANOTHER!

Plato just made up Atlantis for "The Republic" as a metaphor for Athens. He said that it *was* in the Atlantic, and that the Egyptians told its story to his ancestor, not himself. That website was wrong on multiple fronts, even the fictional ones.

actually, Atlantis was from a different Plato book, the one he didn't finish because he died, where Athens goes to war with, and defeats, the great Atlantis. He also wasn't particularly specific about the location, though it seemed to be beyond the Pillars of Hercules, which would probably mean the Atlantic. But, besides that, yeah. Definitely a metaphor for Athens and definitely the whole "ancient Egyptian story" thing is just part of the parable.

This is gonna turn out one of two ways; He and his friend quit halfway through the research part, realizing that it was a stupid idea, or they actually make the swords because no one's gonna order all the need materials only the chicken out, they fight with them once until they realize that swordfighting is tiring as fuck or until someone actually gets cut, then they start a KZread channel called -"The money could have gone to charity but instead we built swords even though we could have bought them on Amazon"- "SwordBros" where they post videos of them cutting watermelons and stuff.
