Man With Down Syndrome Approached A Queen’s Guard, Then Something Astonishing Happened!

Sam was excited to start an independent life and reach many of the goals he set for his life. As someone with Down Syndrome, he always wondered just how independent he could become. His brother Jack was younger, but he reached many calls before his brother. Sam was a college student at the time when he heard about a house that was really special. The house would be shared by five friends and they all had intellectual disabilities. Living there they went on adventures. One was to Windsor Castle. The man with Down Syndrome approached a Queen’s Guard. Then something astonishing happened.

I saw this one Trooper in the King's Household Cavalry being photographed with an intellectually challenged young man and his father. The boy kept his distance. The Trooper took a step toward the boy so he could get a better shot. This Trooper just completed his service. He was a nice man.

Our beautiful late Queen's husband was Prince Phillip, not George. As a teenager I used to teach downs syndrome teenagers to dance --- it was very rewarding -- they were all so polite, loving and had a great sense of humour.

My daughter has been a care worker for a few decades. Only a few of her 'clients' have Downs, but they are her favourites. She told me she wishes all her 'client' friends were Downs, as they are the ones she has fun with. I've also worked with Downs youngsters and I agree. ❤

I was once told, "When words aren't enough tears speak volumes." I unabashedly wept through much of this video. You see my sister has down syndrome and from the time she was born to the time when I had to leave home I dedicated myself to her and her well being, we had, and still have, a bond that can not be broken. I understand Sam and his brother and can emphatically relate to their feelings in their reunion, I imagine it was very close to what my sister and I experienced after being apart for so many years. I hope both of them all the best in their lives and continued health and well being for many years to come.

That was a wonderful story, and it reminds me of when I lived in Harrow in the UK. Around the corner from me a house was purchased for housing people with disabilities, like Down Syndrome and they had a live-in carer. At first the carer would go with them up to Harrow Town Centre and then they were allowed to go by themselves when they knew where to go. I was in my front garden this day and this young man stopped and said hello to me, he was going up to town for the first time on his own, so he was very excited. After that every time he went up to town he would knock my door just to say hello, then one day he had a friend with him and introduced her to me, it was lovely to see them go up the road hand in hand. They were regular visitors, to my door, just to say hello. I don't know what happened to them, but after three years they stopped coming, I tried to find out what had happened, but never found out.

I call BS. I have worked with many disabled people including down syndrome. That Sam was the older brother is crap to start with. And Windsor Castle thousands of years old. Really? It is so much easier to believe a good story over the truth. The human condition.
