This helps a lot! Me and some friends are making an 8-bit platformer at the moment and I'm in charge of animating everything, so these tips will definitely end up helping me out a lot! I was just adding more frames rather than smear frames so I might have to go back and change a few things. Great work as always and I look forward to what comes next!!!

Glad I could help! I think smear frames are super fun (and much easier than truly animating every movement). I'm not sure how far you are in your game, but I wouldn't go back and reanimate right now unless you're at a good stopping point. For indie projects, it's really easy to kill your momentum by going back and redoing what's already been done. Eventually, sure, but the biggest priority needs to be getting the thing done (I say as someone who's never gotten a game done 😊).

@@RobinsonPixels Now you point that out, we are very far in. The animations look fine but I’ll make sure to keep your advice as I do more characters and everything else. Also, I’m sure you’ll get a game done one day. You’ve just got to persevere and keep at it!
