    All equipment is tested to do a lot more than it is rated for. Knowing not to exceed the maximum rating is professionalism. Doing it right is doing it best. Excellent job team.

    It's dangerous to pull anything over capacity of the equipment. Ive done it before. I've actually had the steer tires of a 25 ton oilfield bed truck off the ground.. a terrifying experience I NEVER want to repeat!! 🙀🙀🙀

    Just started watching yur video's--I like what I'm seeing-for sure. I had about 30 years in the towing/recovery field before I sold out and went in a different direction--but it still fascinates me. Some of the other wrecker video's out now--the workers/other drivers there are all just standing round--waiting for one person, i guess to instruct them. That puts a lot of added stress on each job, in my opinion.

    By marrying the hooks on the rotator, didn't you lose Roll control of the load? You didn't gain any capacity, but you did gain some finer control on winch speeds. I presume you determined that finer winch speed control was more important than Roll control. Cool video!

    Really wish you would wear a helmet cam when recording videos. For example. When you’re driving we’re not looking at the bottom of the steering wheel. And when you’re operating the switches on the rotator. It would be really nice to see what switches you’re flipping. Instead of looking at the bottom of the control door. And when you’re doing things above your head it would be nice to see what you see. Don’t get me wrong. I do enjoy the videos and I have always given thumbs up on every video. It would just be really nice to see what you see.

    I would love to see that too, I hope they can Incorporate that in the future. One channel I watch, most of the time when they are wearing head sets, they add that audio into the video.

    When you marry the hooks like that you only need one hoist, not both at the same time?

  • @michaelseverson9809

    @michaelseverson9809

    2 жыл бұрын

    When you marry the hooks you get even line load throughout the entire rigging setup. You still have to use both winches to lift evenly. If you use only 1winch that side will rise slightly before the other side follows.

  • @Drew6709
    @Drew67092 жыл бұрын

    I have always been under impression "marrying the hooks" was NOT safe or recommended from tow Industry officials/instructors. And why not run 2 3part lines? Intriguing machine.

    I know I don't know anything compared to you guys, but .. your rigging concerns me. you have nothing staticly hooked on that heavy end. the cable leaves the boom, goes through a pulley at the snatch-block, another pulley at the boom (the two 'married' hooks) another pulley/snatch-block, and back to the boom. That arrangement as far as i can tell has nothing to keep one hitch point from rising up and letting the other drop, the whole load rolling in the rigging . . . . I know the OTHER end of the load is being balanced by two staticly hooked winches but it still seems like it's not constrained enough, to me. am i missing something?

  • @wssides

    It wouldn't work with a badly balanced load but it is great for safety on a load like this.
