From Africa we watched and have copies of Whitney's rest. The Bodyguard speaks, but it does not. Our memory of Whitney as Feb 2021 approaches is "I look to you". WH will be ever loved and so shall Bobbi, no matter what was or wasnt. Kevin in the movie really liked her.

Yes...one might get the very distinct impression that he was in love with Whitney! The kind and gentle way he speaks about her is the way he would have treated her! Kevin is a class act...I believe if she had given him the opportunity to pursue a romantic relationship, he would have done it. He definitely holds a special place in his heart for Whitney! He recognizes her battles and maybe could have been a positive influence in her life. I believe he's in love with her, to this day, but he's married and respectful enough to keep it to himself. Sometimes silence is golden!!

Dances with wolves is my absolute favorite movie, true masterpiece. It honestly doesn’t get the cudos it deserves. Not being in the top 100 movies on most if not all the polls I’ve read, is an absolute disgrace. Especially when you hear how it came about in the first place

The people who go to see his movies don't mind if they're long, because Costner tells the WHOLE STORY. He never makes his audience guess or assume....he tells the entire story, the one you paid your money to see/hear. One of the best directors in Hollywood period.

What she really needed was someone who really loved and cared about her. Not a parasite like Bobby Brown who added only more misery to her already tormented life! I'm still so devastated about Whitney being a victim of child abuse. She didn't deserve any of all the pain she had to endure! Whitney was subjected to immense pain from an early age. Mentally she was under attack almost her entire life. Every day people commit suicide because of mental issues like Whitney's. Whitney fought very hard for a very long time to overcome her demons and sadly she lost. Whitney didn't die from drugs. Her mental issues drove her to substance abuse and eventually killed her. People often look down on people with psychological problems. That's one of the major reasons why people are scared to talk about their problems and seek help. For Whitney it was even more difficult because of her fame. Some respect, compassion and understanding would save a lot of lives!!!!!! SOME REASONS THAT LED TO WHITNEY'S DEMISE: Whitney's life wasn't a walk in the park. *Victim of child abuse. Dee Dee Warwick molested little Whitney for years. *She was bullied as a child/teenager and adult for the color of her skin and looks by white & black kids/adults. That certainly wasn't good for building up her self esteem. Kevin Costner's eulogy said it all. Even at the height of her career she had lots of self doubt. *Even her own peers booed her at the Soul Train Awards instead of showing her the respect she deserves. She paved the way for other black artists and didn't deserve to be treated so disrespectful. *Since 1987 the press hunted an haunted her relentlessly. That caused her a lot of pain, fear and difficulty with trusting people. Sadly her own brothers introduced her to drugs as a way to cope with all the madness fame brought her. *Though she managed to keep herself together for 10 more years, 1989 was the start for her down fall. Meeting someone like Bobby Brown who did everything to enable her to take drugs and profit from her in every way he could destroyed Whitney completely. *Several miscarriages that brought her too much grief.

I LOVED Whitney Houston. Still do. Not only was she a fabulous singer, but she was a very beautiful actress as well. I actually felt sad when I heard she died (along with Paul Walker's death that same year). Genuine people like Whitney and Paul are really hard to come by these days...

Somethings are so personal they should be kept to one's self. However, the on screen chemistry between the two was undeniable. It's obvious they had a special bond.

That such simple-minded thinking. I love her, but she didn't get clean for her daughter or herself how would she have done it for Kevin? They have a special chemistry in the movies and in life, but ultimately she has to be tired of the addiction. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. He does talk about her like a husband and if the timing was right and situation was lined up they definitely had "IT".

AND I think they would both be walking closer with the Lord- they had that root of faith, and because the world demands it, found some compromising of the walk* (not their actual faith), to go in the way they were choosing....OH I would've loved to see them together; but I am glad, for honor's sake, they honored the marriage covenant, regardless of the actual person they were hooked to- That's How God would have it-even though I would tend to believe He originally had another person for them both (possibly, each other-) but they had already chosen otherwise, not knowing what would've been ahead.....

The Body Guard is one of my all time favorite movie because of the chemistry between the two characters and the trust they have for eachother.

Yeah intense was probably the word he used. It had to be something for them to film it and not release it. This man was madly in love with her. The look on his eyes... Truth is this movie still lingers because he really was in love with her and felt like protecting her. He also made her fall in love with acting which was something she always wanted to do but never had enough confidence.

Part of me honestly believes if Kevin wasn't married then and Whitney wasn't with Bobby at the time that they would have gotten together. Because the way that he speaks about her (and i know it could be just a respect and friendship love) but i think it was more and they just couldn't pursue it. IDK!

He was also great in *"Dances With Wolves"* - which I still have on VHS. That look Whitney, r.i.p, gave him at 4:38, you would swear that they were in a happy, and loving marriage together. I just cried after seeing that footage, and couldn't help myself but, to cry. I know that she's not here physically, however, it's like I don't want to believe that she's physically gone. When Whitney Houston realized Kevin costner was the man for her, it was too late. He married another woman and had three young children.plus, she had lost her voice. I believe she didn't want to live anymore.

"sometimes things are just yours" in the what, 30 plus years Kevin has been on screen, ive never seen that expression on his face before. he has a profound love for Whitney to this day and it is very evident. it makes me feel sad for him. i hope hes been able to find some peace with her passing.

That's so interesting. That she thought she wasn't pretty enough but he thought she was absolutely beautiful. Interracial relationships are more accepted now today, but if Whitney and Kevin did have a relationship, I it would have been scrutinized at that point in time on top of being celebrities. Really wish she loved him as much as he did. Bobby obviously didn't give her that same love and respect. *sigh* Even today, "Sometimes things are just yours." **SWOON~** ugh! MY HEART Dx

But Kevin has said himself that he loved doing the love scenes with her...take, after take, after take _(there was a lot left on the cutting room floor to get to that anemic snippet we saw on the screen, lol)._ It was obvious by how he worded it that he was also a little smitten/that he at least liked "making out" with her. *(Edit:* I'm not referring to what he said in this video about kissing her). I think he divorced his wife after the movie was shot... It doesn't take much for men to get back on that horse after a divorce or separation. That would be even more reason for them (men) to "look", even if they don't touch.
