The best thing about Kennedy Steve is how chill he is with the foreign pilots. It seems like the majority of ATC’s that get posted on channels like these get frustrated right away. But he always seems to stay so composed with them

Yeah his change in tone when he hears a foreign pilot is great. It’s way better than the arguing you hear between ATC in the US and pilots who don’t speak native English, with US ATC not using standard phraseology.
Like how quickly he adapted the instructions to the Turkish after the initial bad read back.

Jeff Craig he could either A) attempt with questionable success to have them get it right OR B) amend to a far shorter, more straightforward route

I noticed that! Steve was a master of communication, and he did it with warmth and wit. I'm sure the pilots miss him.
For some reason i find it relaxing: Am I the only one in the world listening to ATC youtubes to fall asleep? 😂✈️

5:17 Not surprising Flagship didn't get the message in time...Delta 474 appears to be confused @4:26 and tells "company" (most likely dispatch in Atlanta) that Chicago is ground stopped. While Delta dispatch could certainly call Flagship dispatch in Minneapolis and pass on the message, it would take a lot longer than if Delta 474 had just called ramp operations (which is what I think Steve was getting at).
After spending 4 days on a recording and editing binge, it's nice to come onto KZread and hear Kennedy Steve's voice doing what he does best! Thanks H8
0:38 Do you think the tug drivers ever come up with a creative response to that question? Like "Disneyland! But I'd settle for Mika-Alpha."
@MrJAa85

Haha, I was just thinking the same thing! I would totally do that if I were a Tug driver there :p I mean, working with a Ground controller like that, you have like endless possibilities for awesome comebacks :D And he would probably love it too ^^

I tried watching one of these videos, that showed a top-view diagram of the airport with all of the taxiways labeled. I wanted to try and make sense of what I was listening to, Lol!!!! Let's just say..., I respect ATC/Ground Controllers a helluva lot more now!!!!! Lol.......
Love when he "throws" that words on different languages haha !
JetBlue 702 was funny!
The pilot in Virg10K sounds exactly like Alan Rickman the actor. I wonder if that is natural or practiced. LOL I loved Alan Rickman.

God,I've done about 15 of these Atc videos today.hey are sooooooo addictive ..thank you for uploading them.✈✈
Just found your channel this morning and have enjoyed it for most of the day almost non stop!!You have the knack of making a pilots job fun with humor or make him cringe and promise himself never to make a mistake while your on ground freq. I absolutely love it! Please keep them coming.Thanks Steve
Airline mergers confuse everyone. And Avianca has been hungry and eating a lot of arilines lately!
Keep 'em coming!! Do it Kennedy Steve!
Murican973. Love it
These recordings remind me of my years as a big city police dispatcher, like ATC Ground in a different setting...when air traffic was dense it was like juggling with 8 balls at once
OMG he is funny! I just love these!
Jesus chris that Virgin Atlantic pilot sounded so classy with British accent and giant 747 or 340! Goes to show, when you hot a classy airline, you got a classy crew haha!

+H89SA Maybe that's it. I was wondering a little why Steve tried giving him such a complicated instruction, but if they're usually good then that explains it. The poor pilot was clearly floundering on the readback--his relief when Steve recognized the problem and simplified things was pretty funny (totally understandable, but still funny).

What is the difference between "heavy" and "super"? Anybody know?
@crackone2three
5 жыл бұрын
Boeing 747 heavy airbus A380 super the weight/ size if iam right
@weldonstewart330
5 жыл бұрын
A 'Heavy' is an aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 300,000 lbs or more. The 'Super' designation is given to the Airbus A380 (MTOW 1.2m lbs) and Antonov AN-225 (MTOW 1.4m lbs).

Why couldn't we hear the American Tug that talked to him after Delta Tug 4?
@H89SA
8 жыл бұрын
+Air Plane He's probably on the "other" side of the airport, which antenna of the guy who sends feed to liveatc can't pick up. Antenna on tug vehicle isn't that strong, they usually work in 2-3km area.
@fastmovingblip
8 жыл бұрын
+H89SA There's also the issue of the tugs being short, and thus the antenna height is quite low. A couple feet of elevation can make a big difference
British 757 at jfk??
What time is he on shift every day?
What do “shortened” and “short” mean?
@chaoz1666
4 жыл бұрын
Well shortened is always used in relation to runway desginations and basically means that you are not going to use the full runway but a "shortened" part because you taxi onto the runway and then take off. "short" is usually used in connection with "hold" and basically means "stop there"

Tug drivers generally have their head shoved so far up their point of contact that they need to have a glass bellybutton installed so they can look out and see what the rest of us are doing.

I think Kennedy Steve is very good at his job but he's rude - I don't like him.
@necoragha65
4 жыл бұрын
He is not rude at all. He speaks with confidence, I would feel very comfortable with him. He has a sense of humor which lightens the mood. He speaks clearly (personally I like his voice) and he even speaks slower when he notices non-English speakers have some trouble with English. If you want to hear rude and arrogant and stupid: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIuDsa2KnKjLZdY.html I cannot imagine this happening to Kennedy Steve. And if you want to hear disrespectful: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m6CFqrJxgMquh9Y.html This one takes the top.
