Karen yells at me for deadlifting loudly...lol

Спорт

She's scolded me before about how I'm dropping weights and how I'm gonna get injured by lifting heavy so I stopped letting go of the weight but it's hard to lower 465 quietly. I thought it was funny when she said I'm gonna kill the 2 girls next to me. Btw it's a library not a rec center

    So this is DePaul University in Chicago. I used to work out at the Ray 5 times a week during my undergrad and find this video so ironic - the Karen at large was one of the personal trainers (not sure if she's still there) but she was ALWAYS the loudest one on the gym floor, talking level, coaching her clients, etc. She would walk the floor with such a loud mouth and "this is my gym" style attitude. As a personal trainer myself, I understand respecting people's space and not causing a scene, but there are MUCH worse/louder individuals in the gym. Maybe I'm biased but from my experience she needs to touch grass and take a hike.

I don't get what's the problem with deadlifting in the gym when it's what some gym goers do with noise and all and yet there's people yelling and complaining making the noise themselves? It's a gym what do some expect to be in a library? My goodness some people need to stop complaining and just enjoy their workouts.

    @Mario Dude, you must be in one of those baby gyms, have you ever heard someone drop the weight when cleaning, it's a million times louder than anything the dude just did in the video. If you are focusing on working out you don't even really hear the other things around you to the point that they don't bother you. Second, I can clearly tell that you must be hitting very low weights. You are not even focused on training, it's pretty fucking easy to tell when you said taking a 15 second break. You actually have to be dumb as fuck if you think lifting a 1 rep or near 1 rep max takes only 15 seconds of rest. You need AT LEAST 4 minutes of rest when lifting extremely heavy. Lastly, did you really just tell another person to learn english while simultaneously putting the first letter of learn and english in caps, you're a fucking moron. lmao.

  • @XENOX-777

    @XENOX-777

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Mario Lmao, I actually wrote this comment right before I went to sleep and wasn't even really thinking when I made the paragraph about your grammar, besides that everything else in my comment stands perfectly fine. He would not be able to complete that rep if he is doing a near 1 rep or a 1 rep max with anything less than 3:15 minutes, I'll slightly lower the time for his rep only because he didn't control it at all when going down. Either way that is nowhere near 15 seconds. The time I see most elite powerlifters/people who specialize in lifting heavy using is like 5 minutes, I like resting 5 minutes too when doing very heavy sets, I just say 4 is like the bare minimum. If you're wondering why they are grunting it's most likely because they are not bracing properly, or even if they are trying they should be breathing out of their noses. You're supposed to take in a breath before the lift and then hold it until the end of the lift. If it is so heavy that they cannot hold their breath they should be slightly breathing out of their noses. Anyways, speaking about grammar, where did you go to school? You seem to be forgetting to include the comma right before every single quotation mark that you have been using. It's supposed to be,"#&$." Not that bullshit that you have been typing. I think you are actually the,"absolute pillock." It's easy to tell when reading your shitty arguments about how long he was doing it for or the amount of time in between each rep. Assuming he is waiting the minimum of 3:15 seconds before each rep of his uncontrolled deadlifts and it takes about 15 seconds before he actually completes the rep after also getting into a comfortable position. It would take 3:30 seconds before he finishes every single rep. He does 1 fucking rep, a small grunt and he somewhat drops the weight every 3 and a half minutes and this of course is assuming the bare minimum. The only reason why you would be bothered by such a thing is because you are not actually focused on working out. I can easily tell that you don't know much about strength training just by you saying he waited anything even close to a measly 15 seconds. I can also tell that you are clearly a hypocrite. She is the one who would have most likely distracted me even if I am focused on working out, I only say most likely because I probably would have still ignored her. She is literally yelling across the gym, hearing noises like weights dropping or grunting should never bother someone if it's anywhere near as loud as the dude in the video. I'll say it once again, go to any gym with people cleaning and dropping the weight, if you are bothered by his little grunt good luck even completing a set. Those weights bouncing off of the floor are extremely loud unless they have some very good mats specifically for cleaning, I actually am not bothered by it at all despite it being the loudest thing in the world. Notice how she was the only one in the gym really bothered by him, everyone else was just continuing to do whatever they were doing, this is exactly what I am saying that you just have to be unfocused on actually working out to be bothered by his small grunt. If she herself was really bothered by his grunt so much for some reason she should have quietly walked up to him and asked him to be a bit quieter. That's not so hard, is it? It's funny how you are defending her reason to yell across the gym and make much more noise than he is for a much longer period. You must actually be a moron. This brings me back to asking where did you go to school. Lmfao, you're an,"absolute pillock." Seriously, where the fuck do you live that calling someone a pillock is supposed to offensive, the word itself sounds silly, just like your arguements.
