You rarely see people openly laughing in public unless it's with someone who doesn't care or an overwhelming majority (like in the video). Hiding emotions is a common strategy to not be ridiculed, and it happens everywhere Edit: while you may be right, it's honestly difficult to tell. Personally I just enjoy the atmosphere

This one encounter gave everyone some relief. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

My mom loves to tell the story of when she and my dad were on a plane which got delayed. My dad who started watching a Mr. Bean movie (his favorite) didn't even realize they never took off. So he was happily giggling and not realizing that every time he laughs so do half of the other passengers. Everyone lost it when he asked my mom if they're landing soon.

One day me and my friends went out for dinner. So at a point we all got laughing, problem is that we just couldn't stop. See the whole group would stop, then one person would chuckle and then the laugher would start again and last minutes, then we'd try and control ourselves and then another person would break and the cycle continued for almost 45 minutes. One of the best days of my life.

This legit made me almost cry. Its so simple yet SO IMPORTANT. There is a reason why laughter is contagious. It's because EVERYONE loves to do it. Even if they rarely do. It's beautiful really.

I don't.... Smiling seems forced and unnatural to me. Laughing is outright alien.... If someone smiles at me i look away. If someone laughs loudly i get annoyed.

The world needs more of this. He managed to brighten up the day for complete strangers.

This happened to me many years ago in a coffee shop . I don’t even remember what happened but a group of older European men started laughing like this till they were crying and then everyone else couldn’t stop.. it went on for like 10 mins. Cool to connect to strangers we all felt good after that.

Something similar happened to me but I was the one laughing. I was 16 yrs. old working at the checkout at the library and It's WAY too long ago for me to remember why but I started laughing, hysterically and couldn't stop. A line of people started forming and all I could do was stand there and laugh like an id!ot and while I was waiting for one of them to start cursing or screaming at me for wasting their time, THEY started laughing, the whole line of maybe 8 people, a few even laughing as hysterically as I was. Then just when we all started to catch our breath some guy walked over and asked "what was that all about?"...the confusion on his face when a few people replied a version of "I have no idea" and one pointing at me "ask her". I was SO embarrassed, but they all looked so sullen and downtrodden just a few minutes prior, the laughing (at nothing) really put a smile on their faces, so it's just a nice memory now (and lesson about laughing being contagious). I didn't mean for this to be so long, so if you made it this far, 🫴🏆 you've earned it ;).

I simply love humans for having empathy to just randomly start laughing as soon as others laugh in public.

I broke down crying after watching this because I realized I never experienced this type of authentic joy of laughter amongst my family as a child and teenager. My parents were and are so very emotionally distant that I've been so very depressed for a hellish amount of time.

Laughter is definitely contagious! I burst out laughing watching this, and my mom and sis joined in without even knowing what's happening! 🤣🤣🤣

This is very interesting how when we see someone laugh we laugh to. It is almost like when we see someone yawn, We yawn too. It made me laugh too. :)

I used to work at a daycare, and when the babies in the baby room would begin laughing? The toddlers would start up next-door, it would spread to the 4 year olds across the art shelves and then the roar would make its way upstairs to the 5 year olds. All the Staff would be giggling and wiping tears while the whole centre was in a fit of bubbling laughs. Absolutely incredible experience. Mirror neurons are real. Never underestimate the power of joy spreading between humans. It is a force to be reckoned with and nothing feels better than laughing together. It very well could be what brings us forward into a new era of community, regeneration and healthy connection.

I just told this story above and it came out way too long, so quickly I'll say again as more proof to your point. At 16 I was working checkout at the library and for some unknown reason today, I was laughing, hysterically. People started forming on the line and I couldn't do anything but stand there like an id!ot laughing as I was overcome by it. I figured I was gonna be cursed at for wasting someone's time but instead a few started laughing until the whole line of maybe 8 people were laughing, a few as hysterically as I was. They all looked so sullen and downtrodden prior to laughing, that even tho I was SO embarrassed, it was nice to see them all walk out with a smiles on their faces... ...well, except for the look of confusion on that one man's face who approached the line right after the laughing ceased and asked "what was that about", and he got back a few versions of "I have no idea". So, no doubt, laughter is contagious. edit: what's truly laughable is that this is my attempt at a short/quick comment 🤦

About 5 years ago, there was this kid in my class, sweet and wholesome, he had the most contagious laugh and would crack the entire class up on a regular basis. It was a rough year for me, but he made life brighter, even if it was only for a few minutes. People like that bring the best out of humanity, and it’s something that always stays with you.
