It's not the most beautiful song you says.you're not the sharpest tool in the tool box.. I can tell you're a negative person you start off with nots. A positive way to say that would be this is a very beautiful song amongst other good ones you obviously lack any enthusiasm romance. John wrote the song for Annie after they had a huge argument it was meant to make up.

I am 70 now and tears come to my eyes when I hear some of John Denver's songs. My parents were still alive and so were my folk singing brother Tim and my sister Christine. Theses songs remind me what true music is about and not just a lot of loud music and words that a lot of time are too negative.

Had this sung at our wedding too back in 1975. Beautiful combination of tender lyrics and a lovely tune in 3/4 time - played a sung perfectly in a live setting. My wife and I have fond memories of attending a John Denver concert at Universal Amphitheater while we were dating - probably one of the reasons we chose it for our wedding.

John Denver was one of the best song writers in history. His songs are GREAT!

"You fill up my senses" is such simple but amazing poetry.

My wife's middle name is Anne. This is the song I "gave" her at our wedding. We are both 58 now and I still feel this way about her.

In the 70’s I was just a young boy and recorded this song over and over again onto a cassette tape from a record and gave it to my mother for her birthday. I didn’t understand why she started crying when she heard it and realized what it was, then later I saw her friends tear up when she told them about it. I thought it was just a nice song for my mom. She’s long since gone now and it’s my turn to get misty eyed listening to it and remembering that birthday decades ago…

My mother died two years ago after suffering for 11 years. She eventually died at hospice after only 5 days. She was my best friend, my teacher, my confident. I didn’t want to go on after she passed and I’m still struggling. She did say to me several times, please don’t be sad when I’m gone because you’ll know it’s what I want. This song by John Denver is something I played so many times during her time in Hospice..it’s beautiful just as she was.

you made me think of my mom who suffered with autoimmune mess for 19 yrs (amputations, anemia, phantom pains, bowel issues, ambulance rides midnight e.r. trips). I took care of her the last 11. My older brother was an amateur musician who played John Denver 8-tracks around the house constantly back in the early-mid-70s. My mother loved John Denver. My brother plays at assisted living places and other such places even now...at 69.

One thing about John....he ALWAYS sounded amazing regardless of the venue.

I'm near 70 and this song and many of John Denver songs bring back the pretty past. I so miss those days by the telefunken radio listening to songs that we done from the soul. How can we help today's generation get some of this without judging or condemning them. Enjoying from Jamaica WI.

Every time I hear a John Denver song I get tears in my eyes. He was an amazing singer who died way too young. The world lost a great singer when he passed away.

Yesterday marked the 26th anniversary of this beautiful, amazing, and extremely talented man's death. Taken way to young. Thank you for giving us the gift of your beautiful music. It will live on forever. This world needs you and your music even more now. God bless you John.

This incredible human being left us twenty-five years ago on a day like today, October 12th. I miss him, his voice, and his talent more than I can say, but I am grateful I can listen to his songs whenever I want. Thank you, John Denver.

When I was a kid my mom LOVED John Denver. This brings me back to our living room on LaVista in Battle Creek so many decades ago. We saw him in concert twice in the 1970's, both were incredible shows. I wish I could go back.

Genius. To make a song that lasts the test of time…I can listen to John everyday, and it never gets old.

His voice in concert was so powerful…. I was awestruck …..great memory

I am only 35 but have always loved John Denver. I used this gorgeous song in my wedding.

One of my late grandmother’s favorite songs. I recall she had it on a small 45 record and played it often on an old 60’s style hi fi system in the living room. Before she passed away in ‘92, I complied this song with others on a disc for her to listen to on a Sony Discman. It gives me comfort that she had John Denver’s beautiful music to listen to during hospice care.

*This music just makes my head swing in every direction. This is real country! It is slow, sorrow and can be happy sometime too :) I used to look at a videos likes and dislikes and sometimes I saw country music classics had no dislikes. I was surprise but I really do understand why no one hates this music ; it's insanely relaxing :)*

I'm a case-hardened 63 year old Rock and Roller but John Denver singing this song live has just moved me to tears. What an anthem for lovers everywhere. Beautiful.

I'm in my mid-20s and listening to this song. I think I was born in the wrong era cause I just can't stand our songs today.

A beautiful song. I very often had a distant and difficult relationship with my father. This song united us. He loved Placido and I loved John. Their union brought us a rare mutual connection. I bought him an album with it on shortly before he died.

After their dad divorce John remarried a lady named Cassandra and they were blessed with a daughter Jesse Belle. John was flying to see Jesse Belle when his plane crashed! I was so upset it was hard for me to go to work that Monday morning! Anyway, just be yourself and don't let those guys upset you anymore. They aren't worth it. I listen to all kinds of music, and I am a musician myself, so I notice talent when I hear it. JD`s playing is really quite hard to copy. It has so many flowing chords and fingerpicked AND sung together. Amazing player and writer.I am a New Yorker, and I imagine we are about the same age, and would get along very well.
