He is best known for the beloved songs "Leaving On a Jet Plane," "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Sunshine On My Shoulders," "Annie's Song" and "Rocky Mountain High," which is a co-state song of Colorado. Wow! I don't remember seeing this special the first time out. Wonder it was during the summer when I was in USMC boot camp? Oh, well. Glad I got to see it now even if it's been 45 years! Love the music of both Tina Turner and John Denver. RIP both of them.

Short but sweet! One of my favourites. Had the privilege of seeing John two or three times. Last time just after Challenger tragedy. He and the crew will never be forgotten.
