He died in an aircrash. So this song has more meaning than you can hear. He had to leave much to early but he left back songs that are timeless. Thank you, Mr. Denver!

The world sure has changed since this peaceful man left us. How I wish I could go back to those days when he was with us. Rest in peace to the body of John Denver. I know his spirit lives on somewhere!

Those were the times they were. In 1976 a guitarist and singer sang Annie’s song at our wedding as my wife was coming down the aisle. I cried then and 48 years later we are still together and much more in love with each other. Thanks John for the memories and your wonderful talent.

2024 still here 😌😮💨👌🏻
I had to get on a plane while serving in the USAF...leaving my wife and kids behind. It was very hard to fight back the tears. This song captures the essence of what I felt getting on that jet plane.
who today, 2024, has this Talent, no one that is who.
I remember leaving for Vietnam at 18 , waiting for my taxi and this song came on the radio and she started crying terribly and I tried to comfort her , telling her I wouldn't be in combat I served 2 tours in the 1first & 25 infantry div. Felt terrible for my dear Mother , my brother before me also served on Nam ! Just a Nam Vet Tom

John Denver was a legend and will never be forgotten.
A TRUE American Legend.....his music....his legacy will endure for a VERY...VERY long time....this man was years ahead of his time....the things John spoke of....sang about and represented are only now being understood....a kind...sincere man....may he always be at peace...🙏
he has an amazing voice, it's like listening to bells resonating. I get goose bumps over this.

Thank YOU! I know, wasn't this man great?? I was sooo lucky to have seen him at Universal Ampitheatre. I made my brother Pete listen to him, to take a little edge off his 60s Marine self- I finally saw it got through, he is part-time forest service in Bend, Oregon! So, thank you, too, John Denver.
He could have produced many more wonderful songs if not for the fatal aircrash. I am 65 now but i still cherish his songs. His spirit lives on.

Hey Men
Music is a medicine to the soul, I'll be 32 soon, and I'm glad that I grew up listening to this man and many more relevant artists. I feel so connected to an era that I was not even part of, but these types of music are endless, and I'll make sure that my kids grow up listening to them too ❤
The day the music dies happens every time a musician passes away. Always such a tragedy.
We will never have another voice like his it is so relaxing and peaceful ❤
I was 5months old by then...51yrs later this song still Rocks the world...🔥🔥

'leaving on a jet plane, don't know when i'll be back again..oh babe, i hate to go...' How prophetic was that.. RIP
Such a great artist. Just think of how much there could have been. God rest his soul.
Unvergleichliche einprägsame Stimme, wer sie einmal gehört, erkennt sie immer wieder!❤️🖖
I always think of this song during deployments. We can never go back to change the past. Military life is definitely hard on each family member. Cherish each person in your life, you never know when you'll be gone.

28 October 2023 Hi Royeby, Thank you for your service and the sacrifices you and others make for our country! Yes, military life is very hard on our families. I don’t think people really understand how difficult it is on the service-members and their loved ones. My dear husband was separated from our family for 7 years during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, until he was medically discharged in 2009. He was not the same man when he came back, (many medical and emotional issues) but I am so thankful we had him for as long as we did… Due to his injuries He finally couldn’t go anymore, and my dear Husband went to be with the LORD in January 2022. 💔 I miss him SO much, and I think about him everyday! If you are reading this please pray for me and our seven children who greatly miss him too, along with so many others who love Him! You are in my prayers, along with our fellow comrades! I was also in the Marines, and I used to cry every time my mom brought me to the airport… This song was extremely emotional for me on many different levels. May God be with you and your loved ones, and all those who are defending “we the people,” who stand for Truth, Justice, and Freedom for All! My heart also goes out to the innocent souls being affected by the wars going on in the world today! It’s so heartbreaking to see the death and destruction! 😭💔I so look forward to the Day, when “death is swallowed up in Victory ,” when the LORD Jesus comes back! Until then, may I, and all those who love the LORD, be a beacon of Light to show others the way to Eternal Life in Heaven with Christ Jesus our LORD! With the love of Christ, C. Read

Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world. Miss you.
this song was the dream while i was in the army.........
I love so MANY John Denver songs. I used to play them on the piano back in the day, many moons ago! Ive missed his beautiful voice. I remember the day he died!💔 R.I.P.
Why Good people are taken too early. Still was a legend and will remain legendary his music on this earth.❤
I'm drunk, and yes, I'M CRYING.......
It's so sad to think this beautiful soul is no longer with us. What a treasure it would have been to have him with us today. Saw John in Dublin and he was amazing. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dílis. Respect from Ireland 🇮🇪.
This is unbelievable. No one's this good. What a *LEGEND.*
This beautiful song is also the story of my life. I retired from the U.S. Government as a Federal Air Marshal, after longing more than 5.5 Million Air Miles over six continents. I have seen and experienced so much in my flying time. And , I missed out on so much in regards to my family. I’ll never get that time back, pros and cons of it all. I’m fortunate my children have turned out so well. Some of my co-workers, weren’t as lucky.
Dang could the world use more John Denver’s now
John Denvers music takes you on a soothing journey just beautiful-Mountains and Sunsets

June 16, 2024, Sunday. Philippines. My wife and I drove across town (Greater Manila) to watch the concert of John Denver. Wow, it was great!
I pondered my existence at his crash site when my Mom attempted to take her own life. John Denver holds a dark place in my soul. However, life will always be a miracle so therefore beautiful 🌹
Didn't know he was gonna leave this world on a jet plane😢. Rest on Johnny. Love from Madagascar

What a story and what a song. It lives on forever.
Absolutely perfect….what I wouldn’t pay to see just him and his guitar on the stage again. We were all so blessed to witness John’s God given talents to sing and make beautiful music with the simplest yet most ingenious lyrics.
