Seeing JERRY AND DEAN reunited, it was one of the best highlights ever. It was so good seeing that. Jerry is and always the reason to why this telethon did so well, was his compassion and dedication. God bless him, heis so missed.

@@ninamartinez5171 No, his brother did not die of MD; it was Jerry's good friend Enzo Ferrari's son who died of MD and caused Jerry to begin these wonderful telethons.

@@MrMenefrego1 I didn't know i just remember the love that was pouring out of Jerry Lewis, for those children & families suffering from that horrible diseases he was desperately trying to find a cure 💔 😢 that he's no longer with us today this past Monday, Labor day weekend certainly wasn't the same .

The energy and love that Jerry had for his kids still astounds me today. I always tried to stay up for the full broadcast and never could. Despite what people may have thought of Jerry personally, his love for this organization overshadowed everything else.

The MDA Telethon was always the signal of "back to school" for me and my generation. Jerry singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" was like, the end of summer holidays and school tomorrow! So it was depressing, exciting, all kinds of bittersweet.

RIP Jerry. We could use more like you these days. I heard somewhere today that he raised over $1 Billion doing the telethons over the years. He was not only a great entertainer but also a great man. He will be missed.

I worked with Sinatra on his first appearance in 75. I still have the original audio directly from studio-1 at Metromedia in NY. I never got "star struck" from the hundreds of talent I have met and was actually nervous meeting Frank. He was the warmest and nicest man I ever met. He was so. Ice to the crew and everyone that worked with him. A real professional. I want to make the audio tape available to his estate for everyone to enjoy. I also made a live feed 2" video tape of the days Frank appeared. I gave a 3/4" copy to Frank on hos last day on the air. Someone stole the original 2" master.

I was watching the time when he took his pants off and goofed around the stage at the new toteboard number. I used to make my parents nuts watching the show all night and the whole next day. One year, my mother had my dad take me to the pool to get me out from in front of the tube for a while... I MISSED the reunion with Dean Martin!! I was SO mad!!

I donated to MDA for years but it stopped after they decided that 65+ Years of Service Jerry Lewis Gave to the Organization was enough and they kicked him to the Street like he was A bum . Absolutely Ridiculous and you will never get me to believe that his departure was a Mutual thing. Willing to bet Donations went into the crapper after he left
