Joey Bishop approached my wife and I and talked to us like we were old friends but I never acknowledged that I was a fan or anything silly like an autograph. We parted ways and said good night. We were on our honeymoon and had the privilege to meet him and see Rodney live. I cherish those days and wish that things were more like then.

Everything about this - banter, humour, style ... even the adverts - is from another age. When Sinatra suddenly strolls onto the floor and sings live ( accompanied only by a piano)a song unknown to me up till that moment he shuts out everything including Dean's off camera joke and slips effortlessly into character giving a performance fit for the Smithsonian. What a gift he gave to us.

I appreciate advancements in medicine, a more fair society to people of diverse backgrounds, plus safer (albeit uglier) cars. Although today, we have the rise of fascism, the greatest gap between rich and poor in over a century, mobs trying to steal fair elections...I guess it depends on what your metric is. To those commenting that Dean Martin is drunk, it was an affectation he felt he needed to cement an image in the minds of the public. His attitude was if you wanted it straight you should buy his albums. He made a fortune doing it, too.

Joey Bishop was really witty especially when Dean Martin keeps nagging him. But most of all, Frank just brings the tears right out of my eyes, when he sings the very last few bars, during the last verse of My Angel Eyes, especially when he says :" Excuse me, while i disappear" with such a soft mellowed voice. It just makes me want to cry. Thank! you for your magnificent! presentation, on the KZread channel. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 💗👍

I wish I had lived in an earlier era. In my opinion, life was better back then. The 1950s were a time when wives took care of household chores and cooking. People dressed up in fancy attire, and life seemed easier, especially within the nuclear family. At the dinner table, conversations were conducted politely, with each person taking turns speaking while others listened attentively.

This is so very much beyond legendary Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra were PERFECTION! Dean is in TOTAL CONTROL of his routine Frank knows how to fade out and charge in and be cool all the while Joey Bishop was Joey Bishop. It worked here. Was Ed drunk‽ The Legendary Lee Canady almost met Frank Sinatra backstage in Detroit, but his date embarrassed him too much, so he went home. It was a double date with a local, POWERFUL judge. Such a wild story (there are further details that some might think even crazier). I will pray for America. Please pray for me. God Bless you.
